The cottage is gorgeous, exactly as expected. We had everything we could have wanted, amazing views, really clean and stylish inside - honestly couldn't fault a single thing. We loved it! Huge added unexpected bonus were the bats...to see these beautiful rare creatures so close by was a privilege. The rain didn't bother us at all as we had the fire to curl up by in the evenings. People should however be aware that the stairs to the bedroom are rather steep, not a problem for us but could be for some folks? We would love to come back again, it was perfect.

I stayed in the 2 person cottage with my partner in June 2016. It is an incredible place, with fantastic views across Snowdonia, and easy access to Moel Siabod on the doorstep. Despite having typically mixed Welsh weather we thoroughly enjoyed every minute!
We were greeted with Welsh cakes and biscuits, plus fresh milk and butter in the fridge, and the cottage was lovely throughout, with the cosy log burner set ready to use. There has clearly been a lot of love put into this and the other two cottages, and I would definitely recommend a visit. It's a short drive into Betws-y-Coed to get supplies, so arrive with a few essentials and you can't go wrong.

We stayed in the single bedroom cottage for seven days and found the entire experience amazing. The cottage was very remote and yet easily reached from the main road with good, close parking. The cottage was sound, clean, bright and airy and very quiet with stunning views across the mountains. Located right next to a footpath, one occasionally saw a walker or two; otherwise the only other visitors were the sheep and lambs and abundant bird life.
This was our first visit to Snowdonia and we found everyone we met very relaxed and friendly.
Be prepared to travel for supplies, beyond and above the basics, since the local shops only stock a very limited range of items.
Would thoroughly recommend staying at Ty Llugwy; it's a beautiful old cottage, set on a mountain, surrounded by sheep; with the farm and owner down the lane.
We intend to return next year if possible.

The property was modern and well kept and served its purpose well as a place to relax at the end of day. The views were amazing and it was easy to forget the cosmopolitan life I had left behind. Would very much recommend!

My husband and I stayed for a short break in April. We were really lucky with the weather which was perfect....not too warm so great for hiking, but mostly clear. Beautiful location, and really easy access to great hiking with our car. Nice pub nearby for a drink and a well equipped kitchen. The welsh cakes were a welcome treat after the long drive up! Will definitely be returning!
Amazing location. Exactly as advertised. We had a lovely time despite poor weather. Will come back again!

We stayed 5 nights in Capel Curig and enjoyed every minute. If we get back to North Wales, which we'd love to, we'll definitely book Ty Llugwy again. The cottage is cosy and comfortable and there's everything you need. The views from the cottage are breath taking. Sunrise with a bit of mist around is particularly lovely. The walk to the top of Moel Siabod is worth the effort and there's so much to see and do in the surrounding area. It is a perfect location to explore all of North Wales and Snowdonia. Marilyn and Elwyn were friendly and helpful and it was so nice to have coffee and cake when we arrived as we had been staying in a hotel in Dublin and had not had a chance to buy any food before we arrived at Capel Curig. It's only about 5 minutes drive into Betws-y-Coed where there's a supermarket, I can't think of any reason not to love this place.
