My wife and I spent 3 days and nights at Ty Llewelyn and it was the perfect escape. Set in glorious surroundings the cottage itself is cosy and has everything you could need. The weather was mixed while we were there and we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Moel Siabod is a good walk on a nice day - amazing views. Although it did take us 4 and half hours rather than the 2 and half hours the route map suggested - just a word of warning!
Can't recommend this cottage enough - a wonderful holiday.
I hired all three of Elwyn's cottages for my birthday celebrations and my-oh-my was it the best birthday ever!! The location is absolutely stunning, total tranquility and heavenly views, even in the never ceasing rain. Elwyn is the perfect host, those little touches like milk and butter in the fridge and a birthday message on the blackboard make this place homely and special, but Elwyn's nothing-is-too-much attitude make this place unbeatable.
Elwyn, THANK YOU for the perfect stay, for the kind wishes and for pulling my friend's van out of a ditch in the night!!
We loved the cottage. It is situated up a very steep driveway, with excellent views of the mountains all around. The fire is a great plus, especially after a walk in the rain, and the bags of firewood are generous. Good kitchen.
The cottage was very comfortable. The owner Elwyn very friendly.
We were in a magical location and we loved stepping out of the cottage and walking up Moel Siabod. Evening walks with only sheep for company and the occasional walker returning down the mountain. Superb.
What an amazing place. Fully equipped and more, suitable for all ages. Views out of this world and so peaceful.
7 day stay hopefully with snow. No snow but a wonderful time here. The mountain, the walks, and varied weather which makes everything outside so much better, what more could we wish for. Elwyn is extremely helpful and friendly. The cottage was warm and very well appointed and most comfortable. Just loved it. If we could we would stay for a month at a time.
