We stayed 3 nights at Bryn Afon back in October. Mike and Rachael were awesome and we want to say thanks for the wonderful hospitality. The B&B is in a great location for hiking Snowdonia, or taking day trips to see the surrounding area. We easily waked to everything in town. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious. We had car trouble and the owners went out of their way to help us locate a garage and help make arrangements. They took a lot of the stress out of the event and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay an unplanned night!

We stayed for two nights as a group of four, having two rooms, and had an excellent stay. We were made to feel very welcome, with nothing too much trouble. Our rooms were comfortable and well equipped, and the breakfasts were fantastic. We also enjoyed having use of the lounge for some relaxing, and were glad of the daily mountain weather forecasts that were displayed each night. Great location for heading into the shops/pubs as well.

We stayed 3 nights at Bryn Afon and found a very welcoming home. Great location overlooking the river Llugwy, where salmon were jumping over the rocks heading upstream. Breakfast was great and the room well equipped if a little small compared to some other B&Bs we stayed at. Located close to the centre of town made it easy to walk to the local pubs and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again! Many thanks to Mike and Rachel.

Of all the places we stayed at on a 2 month trip to the UK, Bryn Afon is one that stands out! As we entered, straight away there was a warm welcome and we were made to feel at home in the lounge downstairs.. The first reaction to seeing our room was one of brightness, comfort and good taste! A room we felt we would be very comfortable in for the next 4 nights! Not the largest room we stayed in (due to the type of house) but all décor of the room and whole house is tasteful, good quality and well thought out and put together. The attention to detail in our room was impressive, well planned, with chairs in a position by the window that I could have sat at for hours, looking at the view of the bridge and river. All so clean and tidy and tasteful!
Mike and Rachel the nicest people you could possibly meet. Friendly and willing to chat, but not intrusive in any way. Willing to provide any comfort required, such as when Mike noticed we were sitting outside at the table in the garden one night, so brought a blanket out for us - and we hadn't even thought of asking!!
The breakfast for sure is by far the best anywhere! I had read here about the granola, make by Rachel, and didn't know what is was - as not available in NZ! Well, the very first day it became my absolute favourite breakfast - with the variety of fresh fruit available! Tried other granola on our travels, but none matched Rachel's! The cooked breakfast was also outstanding with the very best thickest bacon we had anywhere. As that to the nicest toasted bread we had, and home-made preserves - breakfast indeed was looked forward to!!
I commend Mike & Rachel on a really well-run establishment here!
As to that a lovely little village with so many eating places nearby and nice shops, and so many places to visit with a short drive.

Room Tip: We chose room 2 as not too many stairs (though Mike helped with cases) and 2 windows with different...

We stayed for 3 nights at the Bryn Afon and couldn't have been made more welcome by our hosts Mike and Rachael. The room was cosy, warm and with a great view over to the old bridge across the river Llugwy. Located right in the centre of town, next to the Llugwy, it the perfect location for pubs, restaurants and shops. We enjoy our walking and this was an ideal place to base ourselves for some of the fantastics walks available in the area - try the walk to Swallow Falls, not to be missed when the river is in full flow. We will certainly stay at the Bryn Afon again when we are in North Wales and wouldn't hesitate tin recommending this guest house to any traveller visiting this area. Many thanks Mike and Rachael for your hospitality.

Room Tip: Try and book room 2 as it has a great view of the old bridge and river (see photo)

Hi Peter, many thanks for your review. The river is at it's best at the moment, in terms of being dramatic. We very much look forward to seeing you both again at some point in the future.
