“Relaxing and welcoming”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

We knew we were in for a treat the moment we arrived as Mike welcomed us with a great big pot of tea and cake. Mike and Rachael were excellent hosts throughout and made us feel very at home, even making us another of those giant pots of tea after a rather wet day out. They also provided very useful recommendations of nice places to eat locally.

The b&b itself is beautifully decorated and comfortable and benefits from a great location overlooking a picturesque bridge in the heart of Betws y Coed. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. Particularly enjoyed the homemade granola - I think Mike and Rachael should start a little sideline packaging this up and selling it! Yum.

All together, a lovely place to stay!

This was our second trip to Bryn Afon within the last three years and the first time we met Rachael and Mike. We had the most wonderful time at their bed and breakfast. The stunning view, the cozy bed and of course the homemade baked beans, being a chef myself I had to ask for Mike's recipe. And you can always rely on their recommandations foodwise etc. . I already recommended your place to my mom, so don't be suprised if you have another booking from Berlin.

The views from Room 6 are beautiful, you would be hard pushed to find a more stunning location. The welcome was warm and homely. We can not fault any part of our stay. We would highly recommend Bryn Afon to anyone looking for a relaxing and completely stress free getaway.

Having stayed in numerous guest houses and bnb's in this village over a number of years I have never been disappointed, such is the overall quality available. So for one guest house to stand out head and shoulders above the others in such a highly competitive environment is remarkable. The standard is high, the welcome warm and the hosts accommodating. Will now stay there on every visit whenever a room is available. Thank you for a beautiful room, a fantastic breakfast and an amazing location.

Room Tip: Room 2 has an amazing view of the Llugwy under the Pont-y-Pair bridge! Beautiful!

Well another fantastic stay at this amazing bed and breakfast. Mike and Rachael excellent hosts as per usual, always on hand to offer information if needed. We stayed in Room 4 not a room stayed in before and was as always impressed with the decoration and how clean everything was. Breakfast set us up for the day. Always alot on offer, and cooked to perfection. Homemade baked beans is a must.Looking forward to our next visit.

Stayed here last weekend and wow what a stay it was. Mike And Rachael were so friendly and welcoming from the start, they are genuinely a great couple running a super efficient guest house. The bedroom was slightly smaller than expected but with snowdon and the gorgeous scenery outside it's unlikely you will spend much time in the room at all! Breakfast was lovely, the super efficient Rachael is a whizz at serving guests. Great choice of breakfast, and the best thing is everything is bought locally. The homemade beans are a must to try! Really enjoyed our short stay here, hopefully we will be back in the future xx thanks guys, great job x Winnie & Dan
