“Bryn Bella - lovely guest house in the heart of Snowdonia”
Reviewed 23 September 2010

A great place for a weekend break, well situated for all that Snowdonia has to offer. The guest house is very well run and the staff were very helpful suggesting things to do and places to eat in the area (v. handy as we were only staying overnight so didn't have much time to orient ourselves). We stayed in room 5 which has beautiful views out to the valley and the village below. The room was very comfortable, clean and well decorated with all mod cons (wireless access, tv with DVD player). A good breakfast was served in the morning with cereals, toast, yoghurts and a choice of cooked breakfast items. Would definately reccomend to anyone. My only regret is that we didn't have the time to stay longer - maybe next time.

One of the most important reason to zero down on Betws y coed as a base in Snowdonia was Bryn bella guest house. And this has lived up to our expectation.
Better than any 5 star hotel we have stayed..simply because of attention to detail and person touch extended by Mark and Joan. You really felt you were staying with your friends , just that it had all the luxuries you would expect from a top class hotel. Mark was always ever patient and more than willing to guide us and was very helpful that our stay was fruitful. Breakfast was great and completely customized. The house was as clean as you can expect, with lovely soft toys and door stoppers. Mark and Joan do have an eye for detail- torches and umbrella in the room sound very basic, but turned out to be very important. It was a very sweet gesture from him when he offered to drop off our baggage at the station on last day, allowing us to comfortably enjoy the village.

Undoubtedly, this has to be best B&B to stay in Betws Y coed... Keep it up guys!

We arranged our stay on line from Canada, and were somewhat apprehensive. We spent two nights. All apprehension was lost the moment we were greeted on our arrival. The Edwards run a relaxing, friendly, comfortable, well furnished and clean B&B. All guest requirements have been thought through, and the breakfast was very good. We loved that Bryn Bella was a walk away from the village, and we recommend it as a base from which to explore Snowdonia and the great castle towns of northern Wales. Loved the decor and pottery!! We had a thoroughly enjoyable 1 night stay at Bryn Bella. We had a wonderfully warm and friendly welcome. The location is ideal, < a 10 minute scenic walk into Betws-y-Coed. The room was great, with every conceivable comfort provided - e.g. high quality toiletries, fairtrade tea/coffee, biscuits, fridge, microwave, ironing board, hairdryer, safe. There was also a wide selection of DVD's available. The room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Our room had french doors leading to beautiful patio terrace.
The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Lovely selection of fresh fruit (delicious blackberries, blueberries and strawberries) cereals, cafetiere coffee, and a full cooked Welsh breakfast, using clearly high quality ingredients.
It seemed that both Joan and Mark had put an enormous amount of thought and care into ensuring that their guests had an excellent stay. A weather forecast is even provided with breakfast! The house had a really relaxing and happy 'feel' to it, and we wished we could have stayed longer. We are already planning a trip back in the autumn.

We thoroughly enjoyed our five nights at Bryn Bella. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and welcome. Mark and Joan could not do enough to make us feel at home. The house was spotlessly clean and full of charm. Our room was outstanding, and what a view at breakfast every morning! Its clear that Mark and Joan spend a lot of time thinking about how to make stays for guests the best they can possibly be. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will definately be back and highly recommend this B&B!

This was our first 3 nights on an extended holiday, and was all that we could have asked for. Quiet, but an easy walk into town. Betws-y-Coed is well located for sightseeing in Snowdonia and nortrhern Wales, and Mark was very helpful with his advice on where to go and what to see. Lovely views from the rooms and a great breakfast, a a guests sitting room to relax in and read about where to go next. Highly recommend.
