We stayed with Petra at Mount Garmon View Guesthouse for 4 lovely days in March. The weather was brisk and beautiful, just the right temp to go hiking all over and take the nearby buses to all sorts of castles and other towns. Petra was a lovely host and such an excellent guide for two newbie travelers from the US. We lucked out and were her first guests of the year and she gave us such wonderful attention and advice on places to see, eat at and trails to go hike. My wife and I fell in love with Wales during our time here and can't thank Petra enough for the wonderful place to stay and stage all our adventures from. I'll come back and expand on this review a bit more once I get our photos sorted out and loaded up. :) I would definitely recommend this wonderful bed & breakfast.

All the ingredients are here for a great stay - very helpful and friendly hostess, good breakfast, fab location in the heart of the village, parking, very clean standard and very organised. We were doing some hill walking and had a great weekend. Hope to go back there on next trip to the area.

I stayed here with my partner for six nights in late may 2014. We had a fantastic holiday, walking and cycling and eating our way across north wales. This is a fantastic Bed and Breakfast with an amazing host who is extremely knowledgeable on what to see and do. We have both travelled the world and we both agreed that we will come back to Betws- Y- Coed and stay at Mount Garmon View next spring.

Breakfasts range from Continental to the full fry, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, and you can have what ever combo you desire.

Rooms are fresh, very clean and a chocolate awaits you every eve after that long walk or cycle.

Highly recommended

After a long drive up from the Gower peninsula, over some narrow, winding, and therefore, harrowing roads, we arrived at our destination in Betws-y-Coed and our B&B accommodations at Mount Garmon View Guest House, a slate-walled beauty of a house. Both elated and drained from enjoying the lovely countryside of Wales on a beautiful sunny day while keeping a close eye on the road, we were warmly greeted by Petra Wing, proprietor, who enthusiastically served up tea and a handcrafted piece of home-made apple cake with a side splash of cream. It was lovely to sit outside among the fragrant blooming azaleas and rhododendrons while Petra enthusiastically pointed out the local sights on a map, their appeal, and how to get to them most easily. Then it was up to our accommodations, a squeaky clean, well-lighted en-suite with a hillside view and an amazingly comfortable bed with several cloud-soft pillows. We were also pleasantly surprised that Petra had a new wi-fi system installed which made it a breeze to connect online from any room in the house.
In the morning, we ate in a cozy dining room and chatted it up with other guests who were equally happy to be so well accommodated. A counter braced with fresh fruit, cereals, juices, and yogurt provided nibbles before we were served an English breakfast cooked to our order: eggs anyway, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast, and tea and/or coffee—all making it easy to skip lunch, even after a several hikes into the surrounding hills.
Feeling welcomed, cared for, and comfortable as at home, we were sorry to move on after our three night stay. We logged it in as a place to come again.

I very much enjoyed staying in this B & B in Betws-y-Coed. Good position, close to all the amenities, and a nice room. The landlady Petra greeted us with tea and homemade cake, and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.
