On arrival we received such a warm welcome from Tracey. It has excellent accommodation throughout, we stayed an extra night and although we had to change rooms, we just packed up and everything was moved for us whilst we were out for the day. Beautiful rooms, bright fresh and airy and great facilities, somewhere to leave wet clothes and boots and they are nice and dry and warm ready to put on the next day. Very tasty breakfast, relaxed and attentive. Extra coffee and toast not a problem. Complete privacy and secure rooms. Absolutely spotless. The extra touch is not being hounded to pay and the lovely wave off home. We have stayed at places where the 'owner' comes and speaks to you on check out day only and doesn't even hang around to say goodbye, just want the dosh. No chance of any such rudeness from Tracey and Stefan, they are a lovely couple.
Thoroughly recommend, will come back again and again.

Wonderful place with stunning views.
Tracey & Stefan made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for us.
Room was fantastic and the breakfast lovely.
Will be returning very soon to stay at this perfect hotel

Room Tip: Rooms are all perfect but if you get chance go for room 4 which has a balcony and has stunning views...

We booked for 2 nights but extended our stay - partly due to the abundance of attractions nearby but also because we were enjoying our stay so much. Tracey was a lovely host, we were greeted by our names and a huge smile and were shown to our room. We had the downstairs, balconied room. The ensuited bathroom was brand new and had a great shower with plenty of hot water.

Breakfast in the morning was fresh and tasty, we enjoyed chatting to the other guests. Tracey is brilliant at recommending things to do locally, and she has plenty of guidebooks available to read.

We climbed Snowdon during our stay (lucky enough to have a brilliant day) and it wasn't too far to drive to from the B&B. It is a lovely walk down to the village through the fields (avoid the sheep droppings if possible) and there are a few restaurants that are good for dinner, we found Ty Gwyn to be the best. For lunch/coffee definitely don't miss the Alpine Coffee Shop.

Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed the Christmas e-Card we recently received from the owners :)

We spent the weekend before Christmas relaxing in Betws. This B&B is perfect in lots of ways. The room (number 4) was large with great views over the village and surrounding forests. Tracey and Stephan made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were lovely, everything you could want. Tracey suggested some walks for bad weather (it was quite windy and wet) which were perfect. She also has some books with walks from the village. There are so many walks it took ages to pick. The country side around Betws is really lovely. Tracey also suggested places to eat. We went to the Ty Gwyn just down the road. It was so nice we booked a table for the next night too.
Really great B&B and great location to unwind.

Maes-y-Garth, run by owners Tracey and Stefan for just over two years is a step up from the usual guest house. They really do make the effort to ensure that your stay is as good as you would want it to be. The welcome from Tracey is sincere and warm after a day on the hills. The house is well heated and we were quickly shown to our room which was immaculate. Biscuits, chocolates and a tea tray were waiting for us. We were quickly appraised of the boiler room where we could dry off our damp clothes and Tracey asked where would be eating that night. When we were pointed in the direction of the Ty Gwyn as a possible venue Tracey was quickly on the phone trying to book a table for us. The room we stayed in, 4, is spacious and the beds very comfortable. There are stunning views through the porch windows (a balcony) across the valley. The ensuite bathroom is large and spotless. The view from the breakfast room must be one of the best In Betwys-y-coed. Large patio doors and windows give guests views across the fields towards the village and beyond to the hills. Breakfast is just as you should expect; a lovely choice of porridge, cereals and fresh fruit and a selection of hot meals. As mountain men we always opt for the full cooked breakfast. Do let Tracey know how you like your bacon, eggs, tomatoes cooked. She really does want to please and recognises that everyone has different tastes when it comes to the most important meal of the day.
Chatty and attentive they are very generous hosts who clearly love meeting their guests and have just the right amount of bonhomie. A friendly wave off from the door when we left capped a perfect weekend. You will be in for a very pleasant stay if you find yourself being drawn to Maes-y-Garth.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have the views; rooms at the back have the quietness away from the Llanwrst Rd. I...

Having stayed and worked in many Hotels and B&BS I can say with out doubt this is well up there with the best.... A five Stat B&B which is well rewarded. You are greeted by a very nice Hostess, Tracey, who is full of local knowledge of the local area. Your rooms are warm and well furnished, well thought out for the traveller. From Hot chocolate, torches, umbrellas to a chocolate for that little night time sweet..... not many B&Bs go this far and is well worth the money.... Would I recommend this? you bet I would. The local area has such beauty and this little Jewel was the icing on a really lovely weekend. Thank you to both Tracey and Stefan for a lovely weekend we will be back. David and Tania

Room Tip: if your a smoker ask for an ashtray.

My husband and I had a very relaxing 2 night stay at Maes-y-Garth and couldn't have asked for more, it was spotless, comfortable, cosy and I was impressed to find that the biscuit, chocolate and tea/coffee supply was topped up on our second day ... a sign of a superb B&B! - thank you very much Tracey and Stefan for looking after us so well and for the tasty breakfast. We loved the view from the dining room and will definitely be back for another visit. Jules & Nelson :-)

Room Tip: Room 2 is extremely cosy, but Room 4 has the views so we will try to book that room next time.
