“Yet another totally relaxing time”
Reviewed 2 July 2012

We arrived for the Easter weekend ready for a good rest.
We booked the mountain sunset suite for a real treat and we were not dissapointed. we sat and had coffee and biscuits in the the comfy chairs at the window and just let the views of snowdonia and its forever changing skies sink in.
Then we were off into bestwy to the pub for good old fish & chips and a wander round, if you walk up towards the camping shop and turn right go over the bridge and bear to the left there is a lovely wooland walk with a pathway that runs beside the river, the fresh air is so invigorating.
We took a trip along the Llanberis pass the veiws are outstanding! We also went to beddgelert to see Gelerts grave a truly heart touching myth, its a nice walk up and its well displayed. a delicious ice cream on the way back in the infamous Glaslyn ice cream shop is truly recommended.
Easter sunday lesley & mike made me eggs benedict for breakfast and hubby had a full welsh breakfast that set us up for the day! another full day out and about then to the Bistro for dinner which was excellent we really enjoyed the food and we had the table at the back by the waterfall very romantic :) <3 . All in all TYNEY FRON is the nicest most welcoming place we have stayed its clean its friendly the rooms are serviced everyday the bath is big enough for two! the bed is so comfortable its hard to get up in the mornings... Top Spot i recommended it to some friends when i got home they went the next week and loved it too... Thanks very much Lesley& Mike ............. Kate & Nigel

Large spacious room which was nicely furnished and had a huge comfy bed. Bathroom was again well decorated and of a reasonable size. Room was clean and provided a good selection of beverages (tea, coffee, hot choc, fruit tea, water) and biscuits.
Breakfast consisted of a good selection of both cooked and non-cooked options.
Mike and Lesley were both very friendly and had good local knowledge which helped with planning trips and places to visit/eat.
Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay, and hope to visit again ourselves too.

We spent three nights at this lovely B&B. We don't get away that much so we were keen to find somewhere which was good value and good quality. This has both in abundance. We stayed in room 3 and it had fabulous views (despite the terrible weather for almost our whole stay!), was very comfortable and provided everything we needed. If we were going to be very picky, the only thing the room lacked was a long mirror which my partner would have enjoyed standing in front of!
Mike and Lesley were the perfect hosts, attending to your every need without being in your face, and they were always helpful if we needed any information. On arrival the car park was very roomy and 'secure', and we walked through the lovely gardens to the entrance. Here was a space for walking boots, umbrellas were provided and there was a ton of useful information. The room was a good size, and the bathroom was pefectly adequate and was clean and tidy. All the provisions in the room were perfect; hairdryer, iron, tea/coffee, mint imperials, info book, drawers and wardrobe etc etc. The view was superb.
Breakfast was of the highest order for a B&B (or even a hotel for that matter). You had fruit, yoghurts, breads, spreads and lovely tea and coffee. The cooked option was perfectly cooked, and you could almost order what you liked! Lesley and Mike looked after us very well in the dining room, and were very helpful when helping to plan our days, whether that as walking up Snowdon, visiting houses, going to Portmeirion or where to eat in the evening. Spot on.
The B&B is in a great position overlooking the town. It is a short walk along a path, over a suspension bridge and through the railway station into the town, where there are shops of all sorts, pubs and restaurants.
If only the weather had played ball! I think the day we walked up Snowden was the wettest I have ever been, but we did it! When we returned to the B&B Lesley came up with a chilled bottle of white and we sat in the garden to recover!
Fantastic stay, thankyou Mike and Lesley, we will be back sometime, and we will certainly recommend you to friends/relatives.

Room Tip: Room three was a good room, with a good view

I have to say this was probably one of the best places I've ever stayed... Me and my partner were warmly welcomed by Mike and from that moment onwards our stay was not only comfortable but extremely enjoyable! The attention to detail that went into our stay was impeccable and the views from our room were amazing... I wouldn't have changed this holiday for the world and we are already planning our journey back. I can guarantee we will be returning to Tyn-y-Fron.

Having visited Betws-y-coed on daytrips many times, this was our first ever overnight stay in the town. My wife and I were truly bowled-over by this lovely B&B.
There was spacious private parking facilities which made a welcome change from some places we've stayed at in the past.
The welcome was very warm, the room was cosy and homely with a great shower-ideal after a cold day in the hills!
I usually struggle to sleep when away from home but slept like a log in a wonderful 4-post bed on this occassion!
The B&B is situated just a short ten minute walk from the centre of Betws-y-Coed and is a very pleasant stroll over a delightful suspension bridge walkway over the river.
The Breakfast next morning was spot-on and certainly filled us both up for the day.
The tyn-y-Fron has certainly set our B&B standards very highly and having stayed at several other places since, nowhere has come close to bettering or even matching the high-standards which the owners here have set.
We look forward to returning sometime soon. I highly recommend this wonderful place to stay.

Will have to award ten out of ten for a three night stay in beautiful accommodation, in a wonderful setting. The bed was more comfortable than my own bed at home and the spacious, spotlessy clean room a delight.
We enjoyed a pleasant evening walk to a local restaurant and even in wet weather there was plenty to do in the area.
