A group of 10 of us stayed at Swn y Dwr between Friday and Monday. Nick and Emiko met us at the cottage when we arrived and gave us a guided tour. Both were very friendly welcoming and made sure that we were settled in.
The accommodation is fantastic. It is ideally located in the centre of Betws y Coed but as it is across the bridge from the main road it is peacefully quiet at night. The cottage is very clean and decorated to a high standard throughout whilst maintaining its character.
There is a large kitchen with plenty of room to seat everyone. It is very well equipped and has plenty of fridge space and a wine cooler. There's an equally ample lounge again to seat everyone. It also has a small balcony looking out onto the garden and river. The bedrooms are well furnished, with three enjoying en suite bathrooms. The beds are very comfy.
The bathrooms are well equipped and the showers are powerful even when multiple showers are being used throughout the house at the same time.
Next to the kitchen there is a drying room which is very useful if you're doing any walking on the very rare ocassion it rains.
Outside there is a beautifully landscaped garden and a gate allowing you to access the river. To the side there is enough parking for at least 4 if not 5 cars.
All in all this is a fantastic place to stay, it has all the amenities you need, and you'll leave there desperate to go back. I would highly recommend it to any large group staying in North Wales.
A beautiful house in stunning surroundings in the heart of Betws y Coed. Plenty of parking, so that you can easily drive to all the outdoor pursuits that North Wales has to offer.
Nick and Emiko were very attentive to any needs, and very kind. The house had everything you could need for cooking and entertainment, along with good wifi throughout.
We would definitely visit again.
I stayed here with friends recently on a 35 year reunion weekend. The house was just perfect for our needs. It is light, spacious with beautiful fixture and fittings. The beds are very comfortable and the high quality bed linen makes for a very comfortable stay. The house is situated within a stones throw from the village centre, shops and restaurants and there are superb walks from the door step.
We enjoyed stunning weather whilst there so made full use of the beautiful riverside garden.
Great activities included: Zipworld, Tea at the Ugly house, walks to Swallow falls and Conwy falls and a trip to the top of Snowdon (this time via the little train, next time walking!)
Thank you for making our reunion so memorable.

Had a long weekend with the family here recently and it was brilliant. It is in the perfect location in Betws for all amenities and entertainment. The house itself is outstanding, beautifully done out and spotless. With a perfect outside area you can't go wrong with a stay here.
Add to that a very friendly welcome from the owners.
Looking forward to another stay.
A group of 10 of us stayed over the weekend of the 2nd - 5th Feb.
Wonderful property, where we wanted for nothing. A high standard of just about everything from bedding to every kitchen utensil you could ever want (we cooked large meals for the 10 of us on two of the evenings).
Superb location, literally 2 minutes walk from the main street, but because of its location at the other side of the bridge, the peace and quiet was assured.
I stayed in Swn-y-Dwr with a group of friends for New Year. The owner of the property was very friendly and helpful from the point I booked the property all through to the end of our stay - a very pleasant experience.
The property itself is very well presented inside, clearly undergoing recent renovation.
The kitchen is very well equipped and we made full use of it, cooking a meal for 11 people on New Years Eve - plenty of space for all.
The bedrooms are nicely presented and very comfortable - the ensuite facilities were very welcome. The lounge is a very nice place to relax with plenty of space for everyone and nice finishing touches.
Whilst we didn't use the gardens (given the time of year!) I can imagine they are fantastic during warmer months.
Location is brilliant - in the heart of Betws-y-Coed, near all local shops and pubs and within easy reach of local walks.
We would certainly here stay again!
We enjoyed a half term break in the house. Firstly the location is superb being almost next to the waterfall and bridge in Betws-y-Coed.
The cottage was recently renovated so most things are new.
We had two families and grandparents and the cottage was well sized. We spent most of our time downstairs in the kitchen which had a nice large table with a TV.
The owners live locally and we're very helpful. On the last couple of nights our son was ill and was sick. We also ended up breaking a mug in the bathroom. Nic was very helpful and understanding.
In summary a great cottage in an outstanding location with very helpful and accommodating owners. Doesn't get much better. Thanks!
