Great place to stay! just had a overning stay at Gallt y Glyn after a challenging walk up snowdon, and no better way to relax that with great food and drink, and a perfect bed at the end of it. Highly recommended and look forward to staying again sometime.

Rybrook Worcester BMW Acorns charity Walk
We Stayed at Gallt y Glyn Hotel
I have stayed there many times but this time took 21 staff members up Mount Snowdon and stayed here overnight following our walk.
Heidi there is fantastic always looks after us
A very warm welcome every time we go there nothing is too much trouble
Bedrooms clean and tidy with many of them as en-Suite
The staff are also fantastic looking after 21 hungry thirsty people cant be easy but they make it look easy. Talking of the food it is lovely food and the portions are very generous additionally you get a free beer with your Pizza's
The foot of Mount Snowdon is just a 10 minute walk to the hotel so you can park there before you go up they even gave us a lift up too the Pyg Trail start point
Many things in life are not what they say they are

This place is well recomeded

Room Tip: Call Heidi there she will give you the full run down on the best room for you 01286 870 370

One slight negative comment first. Looked on the website at the tariff which advises a family room is £70.00 and a double/twin room is £60.00. Called the guest house up and spoke to the male owner Russell (friendly person) who advised only a family room was left. I advised I was coming with an old college friend to climb Snowdon - not a family. Russell very kindly offered to do the room for the twin price (£60.00). I paid my £60.00 on the first morning of our stay to Russell who again clarified the price of £60.00 (as per verbal agreement on telephone conversation at point of booking). On the next morning when we were leaving (2 nights stay) my friend went to pay the other half. The female owner Heidi (Russells wife) advised we owed £130 (£65.00 each). Issue number 1: why the jump in price? Issue number 2: why had Russell who I had paid my half to previously not advised his wife that half the bill had already been settled? Heidi had no knowledge that I had already paid half the bill to her husband the morning before. I operate on trust with people and always like to pay for a service promptly up front. Seemed to be a lack of communication between husband and wife as to the agreed price at point of booking and that some of the bill was paid on arrival. I would recommend customers staying here ask for email or written confirmations of the agreed price at the point of booking and also ask for a receipt upon paying for your room.

That aside the other reviewers posts on here are very accurate and fair. Its a nice friendly place that caters for all. My friend and I ate there a few times and the food is nice and was served super quick. Staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. There is adequate car parking and the spot is an amazing base for walking up Snowdon or exploring the Snowdonia National Park.

A fair and honest review.

Room Tip: Brilliant access to Snowdon.

Stayed here for two nights in July 2012. Rooms were basic but comfortable and clean. The food is amazing and the staff are brilliant. Lots of parking, situated in a really picaresque area of Llanberis. Would stay there again without a doubt.

We stayed here at the end of the wettest and windiest 3 Peaks challenge in history and it was exactly what we needed.

Friendly staff, comfy rooms, hot showers, good beer and even better food. I can highly recommend the steak pie, and the rest of the team gave equally good reviews to the steak and pizza.

My exhausted dog was allowed to stay in the room which was a massive bonus, the owners helped us dry our soaking clothes, and they even put the England v Sweden game on for us in the bar.

We had a fantastic breakfast on the day we left and we'll definitely be staying again.

Absolutely loved it!
