Reviewed 4 February 2013

An enjoyable stay - a relaxing weekend. Returned home well rested, fed and watered. Comfortable, clean and warm room and very friendly, professional staff and owners. Excellent value - tasty, filling breakfast and good value, varied menu. Well stocked bar - real ale ! - and comfortable, cosy lounge. More power to your elbow. A really good place to stay.

Have recently stayed at Gallt Y Glyn Hotel for two nights with a friend. The room was clean and tidy. Returned from climbing icy Mount Snowdon, had a refreshing hot shower, changed then went down stairs to the bar. Two real ales were ontap. Watched part of England v Scotland rugby match. Later enjoyed a tasty meal. I would recommend the Gallt Y Glyn hotel.
Heidi & Russell are friendly and helpfull.

Had a couple of nights here and will be back, Russell and Heidi sure know how to look after you, our room had everything we needed and the beds are comfy (just what you need after a trek up a very snowy Snowdon). Ate in both nights and the food was fantastic, choosing rib eye steak both nights ...... mmmmmm really good. Breakfast was great too with a great choice of cereals, loads of toast and a lush fry up. The girls working the bar in the evening also made us feel welcome and enhanced our stay with there warmth and friendliness, thankyou all . Overall a great package and wouldn't stay anywhere else when in the area.

Three fortysomething men leaving their wives for the weekend to climb Snowdon, stayed at this very warm and friendly Hotel. 2 real ales on hand pulled pumps plus very good selection of other beers and spirits.Owners have extensive knowledge of local mountain routes and are extremely friendly and accomadating.Very good breakfast in the morning, free tea and coffee in rooms.Definitely recommend the pie and pint evening meal.Lovely open fire to sit in front of after a day out walking.Excellent value for money means we hope to return there soon and attempt some other Welsh mountains.

Having struggled our way up and down Mount Snowdon we were very grateful for hot showers and great food. Rooms were clean and comfortable, not huge but had everything you needed after a day on the mountain in the rain!
Tea and Coffee facilities in all the rooms we used and in the bunkhouse, which was super warm on our arrival. Extra Tea & Coffee was left out for us and there was a fridge available for guests to use.
After a good nights sleep we were served with a good old fashioned fry up but there was also a great selection of cereals and toast for those who preferred not to indulge. Great REAL coffee :)

Room Tip: The luxury bunkhouse was great and slept 8 of us as a group. Hot showers and really cosy

This is a great base from which to explore the Snowdon area. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Russell gave me a top tip for getting to Pen y Pass without having to worry about the carpark being full (or having to pay through the nose for the privilege of parking there). The rooms are clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced.
The food is good, I had steak which was tasty and very tender and came with a glass of wine which was unusually good for a house red. Good beers at the bar, too. The cooked breakfasts really set you up for a day in the hills (and come with proper coffee), and the packed lunches are generous and keep you going.
It's a busy and friendly place. All in all, well recommended.

Great place to stay! just had a overning stay at Gallt y Glyn after a challenging walk up snowdon, and no better way to relax that with great food and drink, and a perfect bed at the end of it. Highly recommended and look forward to staying again sometime.
