We had a true experience of a lifetime with Boulder Adventures!

Before booking we were given helpful and detailed advice from David Crombie as to the the various activities available for our family - myself, my husband and our 9 and 10 year old sons (including the money-saving advice that we really did not need a Guide to go up Snowdon and that we would find the Pyg and Miners path interesting, and challenging enough).

We decided to book the Climbing and Abseilling and the Gorge Walking activities over a few days and Boulder Adventures ran these for us as a private group.

Although the Climbing and Abseilling was only supposed to be a half day activity, Kelvin (our instructor) spent the whole day with us - in the morning we climbed, then we did some bouldering and then two 100 foot abseils in a disused quarry.

The next day we went gorge walking. Another brilliant day with Kelvin in beautiful surroundings and we were able to use some of the climbing and bouldering skills we learned the day before.

We were given all the equipment we needed, the instruction was clear, and we felt 100%safe, and well looked after and fun was had by all!

Absolutely excellent value for money! Can't wait to go back for more.

This is the second time we have stayed at Boulder Adventures, the last being 2009 and it's just as good as I remembered. First off it was easy to book and all questions were answered, most importantly the price was competitive. We were a large group of colleagues and friends, varying ages who wanted to climb Snowdon in memory of a friend who sadly passed away. We really just wanted to keep the weekend as cheap as possible and be left to our own devices. We were left to have a few drinks and play music and games in the sitting room but there was always someone around should you need anything. There are lots of different bunk rooms to choose from, plenty of showers and toilets and clean, warm bedding. David was very helpful and breakfast was excellent, everything we needed for a tiring weekend of drinking and walking. These guys are experts at looking after varying groups of people with varying requirements, just ask. Plenty to do locally, pubs and food. We were lucky with gorgeous weather but be prepared it is Wales afterall!

I stayed here with friends for two nights while doing a charity hike up Snowdon. I can highly recommend it! Accommodation and washing facilities were clean and comfortable, the food was excellent, free WiFi was available and the family/owners were helpful and friendly. I'd love to come back again (in better weather!) and take my kids up the mountain and I'd definitely stay here to do it : 0 )

Just got back from a family of 34 get together for the Easter weekend, and all I can say is wow !! Such a beautiful location with equally stunning grounds , our party consisted of a 1 year old to 60 year old , spotlessly clean, all in all this place is stunning ..can't wait to go back through the summer :)))))
