“Utterly Stunning.”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

One side looks like its clad in broccoli, with a slate scar in its side.
One end has the stunning Snowdonia vista as a backdrop.
there a little castle in the foreground and occasionally the railways puffs past.
Great for having a picnic or reading a book or just soaking up the view and chilled atmosphere.
Even consider going canoeing or for a swim, but be warned, the water gets very cold and deep just off shore.

“Lovely food, little details missing.”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

We booked here for my Birthday meal. We had been reserved aa lovely table by the window (no blinds so watch your eyes if it's sunny!)
Food was really lovely altough we all felt there weren't enough shared veg bowls to go around everyone.
Cheesy garlic bread is to die for!
Menu's were presented in a plastic folder that you'd get in staples which i thought wasn't very nice. Music playing was quite current/modern! For the evening i would've expected something a little bit more clssy, jazz etc.
Also after all dishes were put on the table the waiter didn't say 'enjoy your meal' or something simillar, he just turned away and went. We were sat wondering whether to start or not!
Had a lovely rendition of Happy Birthday sung to me by a waitress with a lovely voice and a sparkler and some fruit on a plate, very sweet.
Overall lovely food, friendly staff, just missing a few details which would make a huge difference.

“A great place for the area”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

We came last week for dinner and it was marvellous, full marks to Julia who made our night especially when she took us by surprise with a Happy Anniversary message written in chocolate around one of our pudding plates! Great place! Highly recommended as we didn't expect her to do that..........

“A nice restaurant with good food and helpful staff”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

We went here for dinner one evening with our children (aged 9 and 10).

The owner was helpful and friendly - they opened a little earlier for us (18:45 rather than 19:00) and cooked the children separate meals (pasta and fish fingers and chips) as there is no child menu.

Good food, good atmosphere.
