Such a beautiful location. Very peaceful & quiet, but still close to tourist locations. Only problem was following directions. My fault, but definitely worth it when we got there. One night was not enough. should have planned to stay here for a much longer time.

Late booking but super and accommodating host Rachel, made us feel really welcome on arrival. Lovely warm room which has been furnished too a high standard and the bed was really comfortable. Lovely views of the canal and the mountains. Peaceful and rural but centrally placed for walks in the Brecons. Great bathroom with powerful shower and good quality products. The breakfast was fab - I had porridge which kept me going all day on the mountains and the Welsh breakfast was tasty and locally sourced. Couldn't find fault from the free and plentiful information, OS maps, drying room for boots and offered torch for walk to the local pub. Worried that too many people will find this place and book it out! Had a curry at the Gurkha Corner in Brecon and it was fantastic, really well cooked, great service and one of the best curries we've had this year. All round highly recommended.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms avoid squeaky floorboards!

Stayed on the 21st September with my wife in room one. Lovely size room with TV and coffee / tea making facilities. The room has a nicely decorated ensuite.
The bed was really comfortable and the room had lovely views towards the canal and the Brecon hills.
We decided to stay here as we were attending a wedding at Peterstone Court. This b&b is ideally located about 5 minutes drive away.
Friends stayed in room two which was similar in size and layout to room one but was uncarpeted (wooden floorboards) and had a window in the bathroom.
To book the room I paid a small deposit and the remainder by cash when leaving. I think they only take cheque or cash.
The normal book in time is around 3.45pm but the owner Rachel arranged to have the room ready for 12.30pm as the wedding started at 1.30pm. She didn't charge us any extra and was extremely helpful in doing this. There are also some cottages but I didn't get to see these. I was told that room three (above room one / two) was bigger and could cater for children with camp beds. Being an old property I did hear the floor boards creaking from room three but this can't be helped.
The Welsh breakfast is served from 8am to 9 am and check out at 10am.
The breakfast was well cooked and there was also a selection of cereals.
There are spaces for vehicles with ample parking for the number of guests it can accommodate. The sat nav postcode will take you right to the door which is surprising for a rural location.
I would definately stay again.

Room Tip: Room one is carpeted. Room two has wooden floorboards and window in bathroom. Both have great views...

This is a lovely house in beautiful surroundings right by the canal and close to local amenities. The room was very spacious and very clean and comfortable, with a newly refurbished ensuite bathroom. An excellent Welsh cooked breakfast with lots of choice was served in a pretty breakfast room, the adjoining conservatory was also for guests use. This is certainly somewhere I plan to go back to!

Plenty of space for parking. Friendly welcome from Rachel. Fridge in the breakfast room where we could cool our wine. Lovely room (No 1) with views over the canal and hills. Room and en suite had everything we needed. Bed very comfortable. Taller people might have a problem with head touching ceiling in the shower. Space downstairs for drying boots and excellent literature on local walks and maps which one can borrow. Walks in every direction straight from door. Breakfast beautifully cooked and delicious. Pub and a restaurant in walking distance. We would definitely stay here again

This is a lovely old home, and Rachel was a welcoming and accommodating hostess. The location on the canal was just perfect. It’s close enough for an easy drive (or longish walk) to local restaurants / pubs. Peaceful and incredibly comfortable. There’s a wonderful sunroom, a mudroom for dirty boots, etc., and a wealth of maps/information about the Brecon Beacons. We had an additional issue with a health problem (a 24-hour GI bug), and Rachel was quick to let us know that we could stay past the official “check out” time because of that issue. It all worked out, and we left close to on-time, but her graciousness in our hour of need was oh-so-welcome. Big comfortable room, great view, good food. What's not to love?
