Description: The Clarence Inn is a "Pub that does food!" Our aim is to provide quality food and drink in a pleasant and friendly environment, with the attraction of a large beer garden with real grass and occasional sunshine. Home cooked Sunday lunches are extremely popular so booking is advisable. And cooking your own steak on one of our super heated rocks is definitely worth a try.

Took trip advisors recommendation again and could not fault it. Lovely, friendly service, well priced menu. Recently refurbished toilets and a nice beer garden. I'll definitely call back, we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience

Another short stay at a reunion weekend.. I could not believe that our previous experience could be bettered, but it was. Now that the refurbishment are complete the rooms are first class, clean, spacious and comfortable. The food has got to rate with some top hotels (and better than some I've been to.)
Despite a very large Christening party taking place, we waited no longer than a few minutes to be served by very efficient staff with a ready smile. (The Beer/lager was very nice as well.) Nothing was too much trouble and I would suggest that any courses in in customer service take a trip to the Clarence and you will lear just about all you need to.
I would not hesitate to reccomend the Clarence to any one.

Last visited 18 months ago and gave 4* now upgraded as it has been redecorated and toilets now indoors! Food again was fantastic as was the choice of beers and service, just can not fault this gem, if in Brecon for a meal you will not do better. Thanks to management and staff have a good summer.

A girl in Morrisons recommended The Clarence when we arrived in Brecon, and she wasn't wrong. The landlord and his staff were very friendly and helpful. The rib eye steaks were unbeatable (we had these on two of our visits). The sunday roast was
alsoexcellent. The prices are aso very good. The next we're in Brecon we'll be booking a table in advance.

Visited on Saturday with a group of friends who were doing fire walking, I know crazy people. The pub was extremely busy, but apparently this is normal as its such a popular pub.

We decided to order food and the service was quick and the food was extremely good and reasonably priced.

I would recommend that if you intend going in the evening at the weekend end or a Friday night book and go early.
