“Outstanding place for a relaxing family break!”
Reviewed 8 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We had a fantastic stay in the upper bull pen, very well appointed accommodation, great facilities both in property and on site (play area, games in barn, hot tub etc.). Fiona and Bryan were very friendly and helpful to us, and especially good with our 2 small children (3 and 5). Set in stunning Welsh countryside, it really is an oasis of calm and tranquility! We were also shown around the lower bull pen which is equally impressive, and we're determined to add a similar stay there too in the future!

“Quiet and peaceful location”
Reviewed 19 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Spent an enjoyable and peaceful rest at Upper Bull Pen. The hot tub is a bonus. Great views from the farm and plenty of walks in the area.

Would recommend if you want to get away from it all.

“Couldn't fault our stay”
Reviewed 23 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We stayed in the lower part of the conversion, which has been beautifully restored/done. Just basically put ourselves away for the weekend, Waitrose delivered and we had such a nice cosy weekend bolt-holed away. Had everything we needed. Counting down the days till we come again.

Mark & Beth.

“Getting away from the hustle & bustle of modern life”
Reviewed 20 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Excellent place to get away to and relax and take in magnificent scenery even from your own patio. We stayed in the Upper Bull Pen with a lovely welcome pack including a bottle of Red wine & local produce, our own Hot tub to relax in, lovely soft beds with On suite bathrooms in both bedrooms. Everything was of the highest standard.
Fiona and Bryan very pleasant hosts who made you very welcome straight away, they were always available to give guidance regarding all local events and places to visit.
We were even so lucky to have a week of lovely weather, which made all appear even better.
Certainly would like to return and spend some more time in the Brecon Beacons one day.

“Peaceful luxury retreat.”
Reviewed 7 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Had a wonderful stay back in the upper Bullpen back in early August... despite the rain. The accommodation provides everything you could possibly ask for. Very comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, wifi, comfy sitting room. There's a superb outdoor terrace with stunning views across the peaceful valley, a playground & games for the children, hot tub for relaxing in on an evening. There was another family staying in the adjoining property but we rarely heard them. Fiona the owner was very friendly and welcoming, we had a bottle of wine and welsh cakes awaiting for us on arrival. Loads of things to do in the area like Dan yr Ogof caves which are 15 mins drive away, plus reasonable commutes to Swansea & Cardiff via some very scenic roads if you fancy a day trip out. The only downside I can think of is the 4-5 miles of single lane country roads to access the property from the main road. It can mean a bit of reversing back to passing places if you meet a tractor head on... but that's the price you pay for such idyllic isolation! We would definitely go back, perhaps with a larger group.

“Fantastic Accommodation and Beautiful Setting ”
Reviewed 24 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We booked both bull pens to sleep ten adults. Both cottages were beautifully decorated and very clean, the garden/decking areas are fantastic and have the most spectacular views of the countryside. Fiona was an excellent host and really went out of her way to help us.

Great accommodation, value for money, and in a picturesque location!

“A perfect getaway”
Reviewed 24 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We had a wonderful stay at the lower bullpen. Fiona and Brian were very friendly, generous and helpful. The accommodation is a home away from home- very clean, comfortable and with everything you could possibly need.
The stunning location is very secluded, but within easy reach of all attractions in the National Park.
A perfect place for families, or couples looking for a quiet getaway.
