Stayed in a static caravan on a Friday and Saturday night in October. Really impressed with the cleanliness of the caravan - it was perfect! I have to say the site itself looks a little bit tired, but it's perfect as a base for exploring the Brecon Beacons. When we visit Wales again, I'm sure we'll come back. The staff were friendly and helpful too which was nice! If a manager happens to read this, it'd be great if you put a dustpan and brush in the caravans! Only the gravel from outside gets walked in really easily, and it's the one accessory I never would have thought I'd need camping! Other than that one minor thing, thank you for a great weekend!

We stayed in a privately rented static caravan here for 4 nights at the start of July which coincided with the weekend start of the heatwave. We arrived on Friday evening - along with the rest of the world and his wife! Everyone seemed to have headed for the Lake and their caravans and it was packed with people, cars, coaches, speedboats and dogs until Sunday afternoon when, thankfully, most went home and peace descended.

Llangorse is a caravan/camping site which is geared towards those who want to participate in water sports but for those who don't it is a very scenic area with a common in front of the lake so plenty of space for running wild and picnicing.

We had trips out to Abergavenny, Brecon, and Monmouth (all lovely towns with plenty of tourist attractions - castles, museums, markets, etc.) and also ventured down the Wye Valley as far as Tintern Abbey, all within easy travelling distance of Llangorse Lake.

We also had a lovely meal at the pub in Llangorse village (The Castle Inn?). Excellent.

All in all we enjoyed our short break there and would return again in the future.

Stayed here camping for 2 nights, 2 adults, 2 children and a dog. Very relaxed, picturesque campsite. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the site was spotless. Shower blocks and toilets very clean. Lake very close by. Children's playground on site. The beer gardens and pub on site are great! Got 2 pool tables at the back of the pub undercover. Dogs are allowed into the pub and in the beer gardens. Dogs have got to be kept on a lead in certain parts if the campsite. Children had a great time, site shop reasonably priced for some things. Will defiantly be returning very soon !!!

When we arrived first impression was good, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, she guided us to a field where we were to pitch our tent, it was tiny and mixed with caravans. Three caravans turned up and basically took over the small field, the children they brought with them had no room to play near their caravans so invaded our area. More of their friends turned up on the saturday with more cars which cramped the field even more. The dog was left to roam around the field after the reception closed and they were very noisy until the early hours. No-one checks on anything so anyone can break the rules.

There are only two showers and the floor is filthy, also two toilets for the ladies.

The field is enclosed with trees so there is no view of anything. Not recommended.

Just returned home from camping in lake side and I must say I would never return or recommend to any one, the rules and regulations that they state on their web page does not apply at all ! Dogs roaming around from the caravan opposite us a shed load of Peaple arriving on sat just to party plus their cars & not 1 Pearson from reception came around to check if things were ok,we are regular campers who have gone to many a campsites around brecon and the gower and have never come across a site like this before plus the two small fields have no views at all just bushes, there are far better campsites in Brecon to choose but not this one .

Stayed here last weekend in a spotless, practically brand new static caravan. Off season the van can be hired by the night. There is also a camping field on site with electric hook-up. The site itself is lovely near to the lake. Rowing boats, peddle boats and kayaks available for hire. Climbing centre nearby.
Friendly bar and beer garden nearby and shop. No cash point on site so take plenty of money or get cash back when the shop is open.
We'll definitely return in the near future.

This is the 3rd year in a row we have visited the Lakeside campsite in Llangorse.

Site is excellent, grass cut short, ground soft, toilets and showers very good and cleaned often.

Short walk to the on-site shop and cafe but also an ease stroll into Llangorse village with its two pubs.

The reception staff deserve an special mention as they are super friendly and helpful.

This year we were a big group (13 adults and a dog) and hadn't booked but staff went were very helpful getting us arranged so we all got in over the two day stay.

Tips:
- Shop kindly re-froze of ice blocks free of charge.
- They now accept bookings but only a small number of pitches so phone early.
- Take some 20p's for the showers. Time length is reasonable so you should only need one per shower.
