We had a wonderful stay with the Adams at Bryn Y Fedwyn. The rooms were clean, beautifully appointed, and cozy, We slept soundly on the comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. There is also a small fridge in the hall stocked with fresh milk and yogurt if you get hungry during the day. What made the visit perfect was the setting. This family run sheep farm is set high in the hills of Brecon Beacons National Park but just 10-15 minutes south of Brecon. Make sure you follow THEIR directions and not GPS or it may take a bit longer).
While you're there take the time to walk up the hill behind the farm and take in the views of rolling hills and green pastures. We took a picnic supper up on the hill (thank you Mary for the cutting board and knife for our cheese and apples) to watch the sun set (very romantic). We even saw a pair of red kites gliding over the fields. It was the perfect idyllic setting. Thank you to Mary and John for a wonderful stay.

This farm house b and b was a great choice. Very pleasant, genuine hosts, big, clean bedrooms (2), good hot showers, plenty of parking, and a tasty, hot full welsh breakfast. Extra touches included a fridge on the landing for guests' use stocked with fruit juice, milk and yogurts, a real fire in the sitting room and homemade cake with our arrival coffee/tea. Great views of the beacons, lambs, and swallows and martins busy feeding their young in their nests, and of the odd red kite completed our stay.

We loved this B&B - it is nice & secluded, yet only 10 mins or so from Brecon. There are wonderful walks behind the house, and the views are well worth the short climb.
The communal fridge & microwave were a boon.
The hosts were fantastic, plying us with tea & coffee when it was too wet to go out on our motorbike!

We hope to return next year.

Came here with my girlfriend on a 2 night trip to Wales. Lovely working sheepfarm property tucked away up a long drive high in the hills. Hosts were attentive but not overly so, helped us with recommendations on where to eat etc. Went for a great late afternoon walk up the back of the farm (great views) and arrived back to a nice burning log fire and tea & biscuits in the cosy living room - niiice. Highly recommended if you want to 'get away from it all'.

Our fourth night on the South West Wales Tour. We had been referred here when enquiring at another property. It was the best referral one could have. Mary was very welcoming and homely. A working farm, located a mile off the nearest road, with stunning views across the hills. Our room was on the first floor with splendid vista. The room was spacious and clean and the beds comfortable. We got a couple of recommendations for somewhere to eat dinner and were surprised to find other guests from the farm at dinner at our chosen destination We later learned that the farmers had formed a sort of co-operative and supply to the pub! Breakfast was at a table 'under the stairs'. Plentiful and well cooked. Our fellow guests were repeat visitors. They explained that they always stayed at Bryn Y Fedwen.

We had found this through the net and it looked lovely. On arrival, we found it was even better than we could have hoped for. We were greeted with a pot of tea and biscuits and had the lovely surprise of a roaring fire in the lounge. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and the breakfast was delicious. This cosy farmhouse is everything you would want from a country retreat with breathtaking views across miles and miles of Brecon beauty. This is a gem of a B&B that should not be missed if you are in this area.
