“Authentic, pet-friendly, rustic cottage”
Reviewed 28 December 2016 for a stay in December 2016

We loved our stay at Red Cow House. The cottage is homely and the owner makes a genuine effort to make your stay memorable. We loved our nights playing board games in front of the log-burning fire (first night's kindling and fire-wood helpfully provided). The night sky, if the weather permits of course, is breathtakingly beautiful. Very well situated for walks in the stunning Brecon Beacons. Yes, it is right on the road as many houses of the period are but we did not find that it was a problem or in any way disturbed our stay. Llandovery and Sennybridge are both conveniently close for shopping for essentials. Staying for Christmas was special and we would love to do the same again in summer to hopefully see more of that stunning night sky and spend more time next to the river running through the garden.

“A Quaint Cottage in the Brecons”
Reviewed 13 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Red Cow House is a quaint cottage ideally placed for visiting the Brecon Beacons and the seaside resort of Newquay. The welcome pack was a nice surprise and the cottage was clean and welcoming. Although we were aware that the cottage was on the A40 the traffic noise was quite intrusive.

Delighted with our find of this well presented cottage, had everything we needed it, including treats for our 4 dogs, towels provided for them as well, Linda thought of everything.
The cottage is very spacious, and very cosy in the evenings when the fire is roaring away.
Good location for getting around Brecon, and Lindas directions were spot on, made it very easy to find. The garden is very sercure for dogs, which was a concern with the busy road.
Just sat in the garden alone we saw a varities of finches, ducks swimming past. Buzzards and Red Kites.. In the evening creatures of the night come a live, owls and bats that fly so close to you as you sit by the stream.. Amazing..a truly chilled out ambience
Thank you Linda
Take a trip to Usk reservoir its only about 15 mins away, and take in the stunning views and wildlife.

“Red cow house very comfortable, excellent location in the national park”

Our group of six adults visited the red cow in the Brecon Beacons national park to see in the new year! The cottage was very clean and had such a great feel about it, the weather was very wet but the cottage with its open fire, Christmas tree, lights and candles provided gave off such a warm atmosphere. Are New Years walk up pen y fan was very wet and windy, but it was very comforting to know that we would be returning to the red cow house.
We will be returning and fully recommend a stay.

“Great Place to Stay”
Reviewed 16 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We stayed in Lindas House for 3 days. It was exactly as expected. We got a few treats as a welcome. Wood was there in case we wanted to operate the oven.
It is kind of in the middle of nowhere a few miles from Trecastle about 100 meters from one other house but we didn't see the people there. Everything worked very well in the house. The children liked the atmosphere (and so did I).
There were a few DVDs in case you forgot yours (no TV reception). You cannot walk to the next village. You will need a car.
The location is excellent for trips to the mountains (we did Pen Y Fan) and the surrounding villages. We went to Brecon for dinner once and had tea in the Cariad Cupcake (don't miss that).
We do recommend the house!

One last thing: You must be careful with small children as the front door leads directly to the road. And the cars go very fast.

We spent a long weekend at Red Cow House with the dog. Lovely cottage with everything that you need. Garden is delightful, made extra special by the river running through it. The owner has been fantastic, very helpful throughout, and we had a lovely surprise waiting for us when we arrived. Busy Road but lovely cottage nevertheless
