“Perfect getaway”
Reviewed 27 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The barn is fantastic. The bedrooms are comfy, the en-suite well fitted out. The kitchen/diner/lounge area is ideal for a group. We rode BPW on the Friday and this was about 40 minutes away. The mobile reception is terrible which makes for a relaxed getaway. The wi-fi was pretty good even with 7 of us on it.
Plenty of car parking.
I couldn't fault the place - if I went back to that part of Wales I'd look forward to staying here again.
David popped round the morning we were leaving for a chat, charming bloke.

“Short weekend base for a wedding in Brecon”
Reviewed 8 August 2016 for a stay in February 2016

My mother booked this cottage for 5 adults and 1 child to stay in when we attended a wedding in Brecon in February. It is a lovely presented cottage with a homely feel but is of very high standard. The bedrooms are comfy and the jack and Jill ensure rooms were perfect for my husband and me to be in one room and our daughter to be in the other. The living room and kitchen areas are a great family space. It is easy to find with the given instructions and not to far to Brecon. We would stay again if we were looking to come to the Brecon area again.

“wonderful walks - and a wagtail”
Reviewed 23 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

The Barn at Treberffydd was wonderful place for a weeks holiday with friends. It was comfortable, clean, warm and well equipped. We were a group of 3 couples, and the space was ideal, with 3 double en-suite rooms, (There was a 4th double bedroom, which would have shared one of the bathrooms) We had a spacious living area, with good cooking and storing facilities, and plenty of comfortable chairs for sitting and reading and/or talking. We ate in a lot
of the time, and took it in turns to cook. We ate out twice, at The Three Horseshoes, at Groesffordd, which we would recommend. Lots of walking, including the circular route behind Llanthony Priory, as well as round Llangors Lake, and up the Allt. We visited the Walled Garden up the road, Trebrefydd House and gardens, and Brecon Cathedral, and enjoyed all the bird life (including a daily visit from a wagtail) and spectacular wild flowers.

“Perfect short break”
Reviewed 18 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We were two families made up of 3 children and three adults and a large dog!. The barn is simply gorgeous. Very clean, very spacious (the photos do not do it justice), and with all the amenities you need. The space has been very well designed so there is plenty of room to hang coats, kick off muddy boots and to spread out and chill. The bathrooms are lovely with a large bath and two power showers. I adored the easy to light fire and fell in love with the kitchen! I thoroughly recommend this place to stay and its very close to lots of beautiful walks and things to see and do. Marvelous thank you!

“ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS - Highly recommended!”
Reviewed 5 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

I stayed here with some friends for a few days. The house is absolutely wonderful - finished to a high standard and very well kept. Excellent facilities and communication with the owner prior to our stay was brilliant, including a detailed information sheet about the house and the local area. We arrived to a lovely note and bottle of juice, and the owner popped in that evening to check everything was OK. We stayed here with two young children as well and the open plan layout made for a lovely sociable few days with our friends. We didn't explore the local area much, partly because it was over New Year's but also because it was rather wet! However, we did have a couple of lovely walks to the lake which was absolutely stunning and we also enjoyed a nice meal at one of the local pubs. I would definitely recommend a stay at The Barn and hope to return for another visit soon!

“Pleasurable family break in an idyllic setting”
Reviewed 28 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

The Barn was beautifully warm, superbly clean and very well equipped.
The pictures on line don't really do it justice.
We especially loved the wood burner (adults) and the kids loved the games room!

we will be back for a longer stay next time.

“A beautifully converted barn in a lovely setting.”
Reviewed 14 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

The Barn at Treberfydd has been recently converted and, indeed, it looked so new that we could have been one of the early parties to visit.

When we arrived it was all ready and perfectly clean. Although the weather was cool the barn felt immediately cosy. We found out later that it is heated underfloor using a ground source heat pump to it is rather more environmentally friendly than most. Supplementary heating is provided by a log burner which would have kept us warm in the depths of winter

There was a nice postcard on the kitchen table from David the owner, greeting us and hoping that all was well. It was. He appeared after an hour or so to check that all was as it should be.

The surrounding scenery is perfect and there are good views from the property. There are some unconverted farm buildings which, presumably, will make up a very nice holiday development.
