We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Coach House. The standards set by the owners are high and the place is immaculate. A very warm welcome was received, and the owners' customer service was excellent, without being over-powering. The breakfast is a delight, with a very interesting selection of menu options. The Welsh rarebit was the best I've tasted! I would not hesitate to recommend this accomodation. The only points that I would raise (which would not put us off staying again incidentally, but would help to make it more perfect!) were firstly that the breakfast (9am latest) and check-out time (10am) were a little early for a weekend break. Also, we parked at the rear of the property upon arrival, and whilst there is a lovely back garden with a security (coded) gate, you are only given the code for this once you've checked in which means that if you unload your baggage upon arrival, you have to walk around a terrace of houses to get to the front of the property instead of going straight through the back gate. On the whole, these points are minor, and we were very glad that we chose The Coach House.

Lovely hotel in Brecon; a short stroll from centre (5 mins). The quality and high standard of this little hotel was fantanstic. The owners have furnished the hotel to a high standard, but with a warm and welcoming feel. We were greeted by the manager who was very welcoming and couldn't be more helpful. Offering us advice on best places to visit and recommendations for places to eat in town. He also went out of his way to provide literature on places to interest for our onward trip round Wales. Would stay again.

Marc and Tony have welcomed us warmly, we had a great, spacious room with excellent beds, the breakfast was the best we have had in Wales, and we got extra service as well, like Tony bringing us to a nice walking route etc... If we come to Brecon again, we will certainly stay at The Coach House again.

After booking three rooms over the phone and booking email confirmation we arrived to check in only to discover that they do not allow babies to stay. The owner was very short with us and point blank refused to let one of our couples stay with their baby after they had travelled a substantial distance to get there. We managed to find them accommodation elsewhere and filled the room for one of the two nights booked with other friends. when checking out we commented on what a lovely place and nice stay we had but we were unhappy that we were being made to pay for the room we did not use. At which point the man got very angry and raised his voice stating that we only booked 3 rooms. We paid the full amount and left. Only to be confronted at the car 5 minutes later by the man. He proceeded to shout and show us our booking. Overall a nice place but problems were not dealt with in a hospitable manner.

We had two rooms booked for first weekend in August like the last review we booked online then received an email cancelling the booking. Obviously have a history of doing it not going to build up a good reputation this way. Look elsewhere they can't be trusted they don't deserve the business - what is the point in even settling up an online booking service if they are not going to honour the bookings!!!

May I firstly give my unconditional apology for having to inform
the guests that we were full for the nights the guests wished to stay
with us at the Coach House. This problem came about because our online booking
system failed to synchronise with the other booking site we use and therefore showed we had rooms available that had been sold. As soon as we realised “and this was within a few hours of the booking coming through to us” we notified the guests straight away with our sincere apologies and regrets. We strive hard at the coach House to make our guests stay with us a very special one, and one to remember for all the right reasons. We are working hard to resolve this synchronising problem, but if we could ask in the short term for guests to give us a quick call, text or email to confirm the room is available until this problem is resolved. Once again please let us assure all our valuable guests this is not our normal standard of service and is the first time in nine years we have had such a problem.
