Owner description: At just under 3,000 feet, this is the highest mountain in South Wales and the jewel in the crown that is the Brecon Beacons National Park.

If in south wales this place is amust and is totally free and healthy .I walked to the top with my boy s a few months after moving to Cefn Coed. At the time they where 3 and 5 years old. This is the highest point in south wales and the views are breathtaking.

Everything that we had been promised. Easy to access, quiet and much overlooked by British Tourists ? Maybe we should keep it less well known. Cracking walk, up hill, great views, pure air and a real treasure of a day.

Pen-y-Fan is one of the best places in Wales to visit. It's a decent hike up to the top but it's well worth the effort. The scenery and surrounding landscape is amazing.

Walked the circular route from the Storey Arms. Worth the hike for the brilliant views. Day was sunny so outlook clear and an army transport plane flew just overhead when we were at the top of Pen y Fan. An experience not to be missed if you are in the locality You would be pleased you made the effort

this is an amaizing walk to do as there are some amazing views when you get to the top. There are other mountains to climb around. There are different paths to follow some are more challenging than others. There is a burger van at the bottom so you can get something to eat and drink.
