We called in for a good earned break (we don't get out much) Picked where we wanted to sit meal came quicker than expected and was very nice.We waited for the waitress to come and collect our plates and to take our dessert order which was alot longer than hoped. In the mean time a group of four middle aged adults came in sat down and ordered. They ordered together and when the waiter told them the price the one guy really kicked off saying they were trying to do him HIM and no one was going to get one over on him. He couldn't understand what the bar guy was trying to tell him that it's the cheapest meal was free!! This guy's language was awful f***ing c***ing over and over. I'm no prude but I do not expect to go out for a quiet meal and drink to listen to that.I was disappointed that we had to leave before we had finished, I think they should have been asked to leave as his behaviour was out of order!!

The Steaks have been consistently good on the 2for1 in size, taste and value. The other meals have been more of a miss but come here for a relatively cheap steak and you should be OK.

We visited previously during a visit to family and had a wonderful lunch. We visited again this year and dined there 3 times. Each time the food was excellent and the service second to none. It's standard Marston's, but the staff make an effort to be welcoming and the service very efficient. We will certainly go back when we return to Wales.

Visited on a Wednesday afternoon in October 2014. The menu is standard Marstons fayre with most main meals on a two-for-one basis Cheapest free) which makes them reasonable value, we both had sausages and mash which were very good but at £11.95 for two people was decent value but £11.95 for one would have been poor value. We asked the waitress what would happen if there were three of us and she said that person would either have to pay full price for one meal or choose something off the limited sandwich type menu. The choice of beers was good and the staff were friendly and the service reasonable.
