“Fabulous place to eat”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

If you like stepping back in time and drinking afternoon tea as the aristocrats did years ago, then this is the place for you. Homemade food, real fine bone china tea cups, warm scones with cream and jam. I felt quite at home with music from the old radio in the background. Loved it well worth a visit if you're coming to caerphilly

Had a really nice Sunday lunch for a recent birthday with ten people. Cheryl & Bryn provided good food & service in a friendly atmosphere.

Small, cosy and comfortable café with reasonable prices. Close to the bus and railway stations. Friendly service with music too.

“Lunch with a Friend”
Reviewed 23 March 2014

First visit to this cafe with a friend for lunch. It is a quirky place, obviously the front room of a large house with comfy chairs to relax in with a coffee,or dining table and chairs for a meal. The food is all home made and a very good choice.i had cottage pie and veg it arrived pipping hot and very tasty ,home made almond tart and custard for dessert plus a soft drink, the price was also very good, about 7.50.The lady who served was a very nice lady, eager to please I also think she done all the cooking (very good cook).I would recommend you give this cafe ago if you are in the area,it is a little out of the way (opposite the bus/train station) but worth the short walk.

Having read the reviews of this café, I thought id try it out for myself. Cant say I was impressed. It reminded me of my old school dinners. Lovely enough hosts though.
