Stayed here for one night to see Springsteen at the Millennium stadium
Originally I'd booked another chain hotel on the outskirts of Newport just off the M4, but after I'd checked Hostelworldcom I found that you could see this place from the Stadium, so its ideal for any events going on there, although we were surprised that there were still availability.
I met some mates there, as they'ed booked in there as well.
We had a bit of food before going to the show. Nice pizza & local stew which was very nice.
The dorm we were in was fine, bunk beds, basic, but perfectly adequate for our needs.
After a great concert, we had a beer at the hostels bar, which was great as most other folk would be trapped in traffic after the show, so I was glad I didn't have to get in my car.
Its on a quiet street & I would have got a better sleep if my fellow dorm dwellers had drawn the blinds to stop the street light entering the room, but in a shared dorm you have to put up with these things.
Showers and toilet facilities were more than adequate, just remember to bring your own towel!
Breakfast was fine, cereal, toast & jams, juice, fruit, tea coffee.
It also has a secure car park at the back, so I saved more money by not having to pay for car parking, which is poor around the stadium.
The staff were freindly and helpful too
So for £25 what was not to like, nothing!

- NosDa has the best location for a hostel in the Welsh capital. On the River Taff, NosDa is opposite Wales’ most iconic building, the Millennium Stadium (Cardiff Castle and Cardiff Central Station are just a stone's throw away). NosDa means 'good night' in Welsh and that is exactly what we are promising. We are the only hostel on the River Taff with a licensed bar and not only that, NosDa is an established live music venue too. What better place to stay than a typically Welsh hostel with local bands, Welsh food & drinks, and local artists bringing you closer to the Welsh culture. We regularly organise beer festivals and Open Mic nights, and all Rugby World Cup and 6 Nations games are featured on our big screen. On a match day you can hear the crowd going wild at the Millennium Stadium, that's how close we are!
