A Space in the City - Century Wharf
Reviewed 23 April 2014

This is the second time we've stayed at Century Wharf and again we were not disappointed. The apartments are perfectly situated for visiting Mermaid Quay, the Millennium Centre, Techniquest and the Dr Who Experience, and the centre of Cardiff is only a short drive away.

The apartment was clean and beautifully decorated, the underfloor heating was much appreciated! We had no problems checking in, apart from our parking space being full when we arrived, but our rep sorted us out with another one very quickly. We also enjoyed the on-site pool, my daughter went swimming every day we were there. I am a wheelchair user and the apartment was spacious enough for me to get around, one bathroom had a shower and the other a bath so everyone was catered for. We had two balconies, with space to dry swimming kit outside, and beautiful views over the river. There was plenty of spare bedding and towels.

The only problem we encountered was with some of the cooking utensils, all the knives in the knife block were rusty and/or chipped, and the fish slice was partially melted and appeared to have food melted onto it. We raised the problem with the rep but nothing was done about them for the duration of our stay. It was a small thing compared to all the plusses, but as we were intending on self-catering all week we struggled to prepare anything and ended up eating out more than we had budgeted for.

We would definitely stay again!

We wanted somewhere for a family of four to spend four nights over Easter.
ASITC worked out cheaper than three rooms in a Travelodge, but you get far more: a spacious apartment close to the bay redevelopment, very high standard of fittings and furnishing, good views, free underground parking space and free use of pool, sauna, jacuzzi (out of order) and a well-equipped gym.

Would stay again and recommend highly. But please fix the jacuzzi.

Been visiting Cardiff for several years and first time in apartments - definitely won't be the last! We booked for two nights. Check-in was very smooth. We rang the office prior to check-in and was met by a friendly rep who ushered us to the super secure car parking space and onto the apartment block. The one bedroom apartment was very spacious, fully-fitted kitchen with all the utensils and mod cons; dishwasher, washing machine etc very large lounge, bathroom and bedroom. The only down fall was that it smelt a bit smoky and it was obvious that smokers had been using the place before us - ych y fi!! But a bit of air fresher (Channel No. 5) and the place was good to go!! Location was excellent too 5 minute walk to the Bay/Mermaid Key and a good 20 minute walk into town which we walked on the Sunday evening. We used a taxi once into town, costing only £4.80. We didn't have time to use the gym and swimming pool - next time perhaps? All in all a fab location, really quiet and safe but close enough to the hustle and bustle. Hope to return in future with my two teenage sons.

We really enjoyed our stay at Century wharfs. The apartments were very clean, the decor was really nicely done, and the apartments were so spacious, we felt horrible coming back to our small flat in London after staying at these apartments! The apartments are in a very safe gated community. They are close-ish to the centre of town. On arrival we were met quickly and shown how everything works by a friendly man. It was at a really decent price, and we did like the free access to the pool, which was a nice size and empty of people when we went! Everything was great, overall we would definitely return!

The apartments are of a reasonable enough standard but ASITC have started charging for parking. This always used to be free and set them apart from other companies. Each apartment has an allocated space so they are just trying to make extra money - you'll be lucky to get a Visitors space so you will end up having to pay 7.50gbp per night. They haven't dropped the rental prices though so I will be shopping around the other companies now.

It was our friends idea to stay here instead of a Hotel. It was a great idea!!. We could walk to Mermaid Quay where all the restaurants and bars were. We also walked back here from Motorpoint Arena after seeing Manic Street Preachers.

Apartment was light, clean, and spacious with lovely décor. Very quiet area.

We had underground parking, which we were shown when we were met at the gate by someone from the office.

Couldn't fault this. It was lovely
