3 night visit with a very comfortable clean room, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Great central location. No complaints at all. Free car parking an added bonus. Will certainly visit again soon. My children loved it too.

We stayed at the Atlantic Wharf for five nights last week. First impressions were very good. The check-in was quick and efficient and the receptionist welcolming and professional. We were
given a room on the third floor with good views over Cardiff to the hills beyond. The room, though small, was very clean, bright and comfortable. Although the hotel was very busy there was no
noise from inside or outside and we enjoyed a very comfortable night's sleep.

The hotel is in an ideal location, close to all the attractions, restaurants and pubs around Cardiff Bay. There is a bus stop outside the entrance with a frequent service to the city centre and railway station. It costs only £3.60 for a day ticket but you need to have the exact fare as no change is given. To use the car park next to the hotel you use the Red Dragon Centre car park, take a ticket on entry and get it stamped in the hotei before leaving so it costs nothing
.
There was one major complaint. The floor of the room and bathroom was not cleaned for four days - until we complained. This was especially dangerous as workmen had left shards of
broken tiles in the shower unit and bathroom. The receptionist was very apologetic and helpful
but this spoilt an otherwise very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Rooms facing north have some traffic noise with windows open but have a better view

We booked 3 rooms as we were in Cardiff for a wedding

Room we had was good, ok for the one night, although the previous occupant did drop a used makeup pad on the bathroom floor and the cleaner did not pick it up.

Friends room was requested to have a bath due to disability but bath was really small so not much use really.

Room 224 both occupants got up in the morning covered in bites and spent the whole wedding itching.

Travel lodge said they checked for mites but found nothing but as both occupants were eaten alive and apart from bed was in the same place as many other people who did not get bites draw your own conclusions.

Staff were just ok no real customer service and apart from one guy they even struggled to raise a smile.

I will not stay at this one ever again and will stay with Premier Inn where service and rooms are more pleasant.

Car got scratched in the car park - disabled space so not close to other cars - obviously no camera to see how it happened.

Room Tip: Chose another place to stay

The staff are very professional and friendly. Some of them remembered us from previous visits. Nearby facilities are good. Always found a disabled parking space when needed. Should have asked for a room nearer the lift as I have walking problems. They have obliged before.

Stayed here during a birthday weekend and it's a very nice hotel. It's really close to the Millennium centre and the main attractions of the bay and for a travelodge it's really nice and modern. Had a good nights sleep and the room was clean. One thing I will say is we were a little disappointed with the service when we arrived, yes we arrived before the check in time (around 30-40 minutes) but they didn't offer to take our bags or anything so we had to walk back to the car them. All in all though it's a good hotel in a great location. 7/10

The location was great for visiting the bay. The staff were friendly and explained where everything was in the hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious and had everything you could need. The only thing which let it down was no air conditioning, we had to have the windows open in the night as it was so warm but the generators outside made it quite noisy. I would stay here again but maybe when it is cooler.
