Description: Gios Italian Restaurant in Cardiff's City Centre is minutes walk from all Hotels, Train Station Millennium Stadium all Arenas and Theatres and is one of the best provincial Italian restaurants in the UK.Enjoy a typical Italian atmosphere, and if you are celebrating be sure to let us know! Find the true taste of Italy - Gio was brought up in a proudly Italian way: the atmosphere is still that of a family concern, unmistakably Italian right down to the cheeky young waiters and a formidable array of Amarone and Chiantis. However, Gio knows that at the heart of his success lies one very simple and basic ingredient, one to which he owes an enormous debt of gratitude - food.Gio and his team love providing you the best in fresh, modern Mediterranean Italian food prepared by his Italan Executive Head Chef Gaetano Monteriso, Aperitifs, Classic Cocktails and fine wines with a range of great places to dine including our 100 seated alfresco area you can enjoy a drink a snack or a full meal and watch the world go by. why not celebrate or hold your function - all under one roof!Buon Appetito.

This is a nice family run restaurant right in the center of the city.

The portions are very large. The food is good. The service is good.

I think the thing that lets them down is how they have crammed so many tables so close together obviously to make more money but if you were planning to have a romantic meal for two every word you would say can easily be overheard.

For years this was a great place to eat, and my wife and i enjoyed many nights out, but in recent times, this restaurant has slipped down the league table of places to eat so fast its incredible. Poor food, (thats if you get the right dish first time round), good wine, decent service, but for what you get overall, they should be charging cafe prices.

Good food, singing waiters and a great atmosphere. Book early or you won't get in. Eaten here many times and the quality of the freshly cooked food is excellent. Very central near The Hayes.

Cosy inside, walls covered with pic of the owner with all the celebs that have eaten there. However, the prices are very reasonable and the food is mostly very good. Great atmosphere, though not for the claustrophobic!
