Just got back from a weekend break at this lovely hotel! To sum it up it was FANTASTIC!!
From the moment we got there (my boyfriend and i) we loved it. The hotel is right in the centre just where we wanted it and just a few minutes walk from the train station. We were greeted by a lovely receptionist (think it was Anna) who quickly got us checked in and made everything we needed to know very clear :) The room was fab, modern décor and very spacious. We were very pleased with the extremely high standards and this was only a standard room as well! We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but did go for a drink in the bar on the Friday night and that was equally as nice, the prices of drinks were also reasonably priced and we even found them cheaper then some of the bars in Cardiff. Really didn't want to leave as found the stay so lovely and was very pleased that we had chose to stay here for my first trip to Cardiff. We will definitely be staying here again and i would rate this hotel as 5*. Thank you Radisson Blu!

Thank you both for coming to stay!

Your review was wonderful to read and really brightened up my day. I will make sure Anna is passed on your comments (she will be chuffed to bits). Come back soon.

Cheers
Alan

This hotel is very close to the shopping centre, restaurants and sight seeing attractions. Despite the rain we were able to walk around the area and see Cardiff Castle, Millenium Stadium and visit local restaurants and pubs. The City Sightseeing Bus has a stop very close by.
There is a good selection of food for breakfast and our meal in the restaurant was lovely.
The rooms have air con and are comfortable and well appointed.

At short notice we had to stay in Cardiff for one night having seen the radison previously we decided to see if there were any vacancies through their web site. Booking was a simple process and when we arrived check in process only took a minuite or two. Our room on the 16th floor had good views over cardiff and the room itself was generous in size with safe, fridge, teamaking , and an espresso coffee machine. Bathroom was again generous in size with shower over the bath with slippers and robes. Location of the hotel puts it right on the doorstep of the city centre approx 5 mins walk from the train station and you cross the road to enter St Davids shopping centre. Breakfast was on a par with most 4 star hotels with a choice of fruit, cereal, cold meats and cheese, continental and full english. Iwould definately recomend this hotel and we shall use it again.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have best views and quieter.

Stayed at the end of June for 3 nights.m Despite our very early arrival from Dublin, the hotel allowed us to check our bags while we went for coffee and had an early morning stroll around Cardiff. They also gave us a room early, which was appreciated. No noises, temp control worked well, comfortable bed, free wifi worked no problem. Would return again.

Room Tip: Arrive early!

I am terribly sorry to read that you felt let down by our hotel and would choose to stay elsewhere. We have recently upgraded many of the furnishings in our rooms so I am a liitle surprised to read that you felt the quality was poor, but I accept your opinion and would be delighted to discuss your concerns in more detail. Feel free to drop me a line at the hotel.

Kind regards,
Alan

Check-in was seamless and undertaken with efficiency, speed and some friendly chit-chat.

My executive bedroom on floor 12 was above average size with a very comfortable king-size bed. Bathroom was larger than average, stylish and spotlessly clean. The executive rooms are, I'm told a similar size to the standard, varying only by way of additional amenities provided. These included free mineral water, robe, a nespresso-type coffee machine and additional bathroom amenities. Good sound insulation and blackout curtains (important for the light sleepers amongst us).

Water pressure in the bathroom (in both the wash hand basin and shower) was weak. I would expect better in such a new build hotel (although it could be an attempt to save the planet - I'm not sure!).

Breakfast was a pleasant hot and cold buffet with a very decent selection of good quality items. Sausages and scambled egg were lovely. Bacon wasn't!

All the staff I encountered were friendly and ready to help. One of the best Radisson BLU properties I have stayed at.

Would stay here again and am happy to recommend.

Room Tip: High floor for good views.

Thank you for such a comprehensive review. I'm delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay and would rate us so highly. I'll mention to the Chef about the bacon - might have been an off day but we will certainly investigate.

We stayed in the Business suit as a surprise for my birthday... it was on the 16th floor and the views were amazing!!! the bedroom itself wasn't that spacious however the bathroom was huge!!! perfect for getting ready in :)

there was a coffee machine, movies, robe and slippers etc. it was clean and tidy so couldn't complain.

At breakfast we had the VIP treatment where you could create your own bloody mary and have a breakfast to order!! couldn't complain at the selection on offer.

The hotel was a stones through from trendy bars and restaurants, shops and attractions!!

We would defo return to this lovely hotel!!! Only down side was the underground parking... we drove past the initial sign and trying to park was very tight!!

Happy,belated, Birthday!

Glad the little touches (and the big bathroom were to your liking). Now, be honest, did you partake in an early morning tipple and make your own Bloody Mary? If so, I salute you and you are welcome back anytime!

Cheers
