Such a low standard for a 4* hotel. We normally stay at the St David’s when we come to Cardiff but thought we’d try somewhere closer in. Big mistake.

It’s so basic for a very expensive hotel. The bed looked like a prison bunk - two flat pillows looking like peas on a drum. The headboard is fraying and revealing he fact it is staples on.

The shower is more like a dripping tap than a nice shower and the toiletries are cheap and nasty and there are insufficient towels. The toilet paper is low quality and no brush is provided.

Only two teabags were provided and only uht despite there being a fridge (empty!) in every room. The kettle is terrible.

The undersheet fits the bed poorly and keeps coming untucked. The headboard was dirty (see photo) as where the curtain.

For £150 a night, I expect better than a travelodge, which is all this place is.

Used this hotel as a base to explore Cardiff and it's Christmas retail offerings. Location is excellent being just a 10 minute walk from Cardiff Central railway Station. Facilities are top notch as you would expect from this chain of hotels. Breakfast is plentiful and there is no pressure to rush. Cardiff City Centre is 5 minutes walk with excellent shopping facilities.

To start with this building is old, it doesnt look like a radisson blu hotel, the regular rooms were small and not enough lighting in there wen it gets dark, and compared to other radisson blu's i have stayed at e.g. derby, leeds, etc it was quite expensive for a poor experience. Initial room they gave us was tiny they moved us to a slightly bigger room and then that night the ac in that room was making a terrible noise all night, complained the morning after and got upgraded to a business class room which was actually the same level as a regular room from the other radisson blu's i have visited. i would not come here again. On a brighter note cardiff was lovely !!

Room Tip: only choose business class otherwise the rooms are poor

My partner and I absolutely loved this hotel from start to finish. We arrived early for check in, we were told our room is ready so we can check in straight away, this brought so much relief as we were worried about carrying our bags around for most of the morning.

The room was so spacious, had a lovely view, a good sized mini fridge, and the bathroom was just perfect with a very luxurious shower with a giant mirror (which I personally love)And to top it off the TV even welcomed us.

They were doing construction work on the building so was noisy at times but it definitely did not ruin our experience one bit!

We were close to the best restaurants in Cardiff and didn’t have to worry about carrying shopping for a long period of time to the hotel so hardly needed a taxi unless we were making a journey outside of cardiff.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting cardiff.

We stayed here when the All Blacks were playing Wales and it is such a good loaction, close to the stadium, train station, mall and eateries. Nice rooms, excellent bathrooms although the carpet is getting quite worn. Great breakfasts too with a nice big restarant/bar area.
