“Clean comfortable room”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

We stayed 31st July for one night prior to going to the Dr Who experience, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Parking was expensive, I rang and enquired before we arrived and was told there would be a discount for the parking but I wasn't told there was a specific car park that we had to use so when we came to leave we were told we were in the wrong car park for the discount! The staff were all very friendly and helpful on arrival. The restaurant did a good meal deal and the children's menu was good value. Breakfast was excellent and children eat for free with each paying adult. One downside with the restaurant we ordered a bottle of white wine which was delivered to the table in an ice bucket which was dumped on the table and was left for us to undo and pour ourselves I don't think I have had wine served up like that before not even in Greek Taverna's

Room Tip: Check what car park you need to use to get the discount on your ticket.

Had 3 nights in Cardiff and this was a great central hotel. Good sized room and quiet. Friendly staff. Only downside was GBP 11 for parking and GBP 3 per day for wifi. Still good value with those costs factored in. After 3 months travelling in Europe it is the first place we have had to pay for wifi so it should be in the room rate rather than heading down to reception and paying for vouchers each day or filling in forms online with credit cards etc. Anyway it was a great hotel in a great location and we managed to return the car a day early to save some parking fees.

Stayed here for our daughter's graduation from Cardiff Uni, 16th July. Staff were all very friendly, especially the restaurant staff. Check in was simple, though we were slightly disappointed to find our 2 rooms were on floor 5 and 9, but in the end this wasn't a problem as the room phone connected us easily enough. (I imagine if we'd had younger children they wouldn't have separated us?)
Room and bathroom was spacious, modern and very clean. Breakfast was tasty and well worth £8.50 especially as our younger teen then ate for free!
Would definitely stay here again, as the location is perfect for dipping in and out of all Cardiff city has to offer. When you've had enough, it's just a short walk back to the hotel.
At less than £50 a room, for a midweek stay in July, you can't go wrong!

Room Tip: half hour a day free wifi

We stayed with our 13 year old son after visiting the Dr Who experience.
The hotel itself was very clean, comfortable beds and we had a spacious room.
The only negative was finding the carpark on arrival. Breakfast was a good standard for the type of accommodation.

Basic necessities only are provided in the spacious rooms (you better bring the shower cap with you if you need it...). Don't expect to find a small fridge or a safe. Very small TV screen but everything is tidy and clean.
Self service breakfast served with a mixed continental as well as British menu. Tasty and abundant.
Parking is not free but a discount can be obtained in a nearby parking lot.

Room Tip: No particular advise even though rooms higher up are advisable.

Stayed for 2 nights on 20th July.

We can't fault the hotel at all. We had a huge corner room with a lovely view of the Millenium stadium and part of the city on 8th floor, it was so quiet and peaceful and we were very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the room, also the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

I am convinced had we paid to stay in a so-called 'posher' hotel we would not have got the same level of cleanliness, comfort and great customer service that we had at this hotel... and we only paid £29 per night! Typical of all the Premier Inn's wherever we have stayed... I would be reluctant to stay anywhere else now, having got used to their gorgeous beds, clean and comfortable rooms and 'Good Night Guarantee' policy.

Well done, once again Premier Inn.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor with a view of the City.

We had room 801 and it was absolutely massive for a family room. Never stayed in such a fab room with views of the stadium. Staff were lovely and cheerful, always very helpful and in the perfect location. Don't bother looking elsewhere......
