My children really enjoyed it. There was a special exhibit the day we went. The gentleman who was showing medical equipment was fantastic.

Techniquest provides little education. There are colourful buttons to press but the written signs next to each exhibit are not clear. You are left feeling slightly headachey, exhausted and none the wiser.

We visited techniques with my two daughters and three young grandsons, the two older boys did not know where to start first they were running around really excited they had a lot of fun. We then went to see the spooky science show they found that fascinating. Definitely worth a visit would visit again

Visited with my two youngest (2 and 3 years old) they have free entry. They loved every aspect of it and they interacted with everything there was to interact with! They can run around relatively freely with no worry to parents. The staff are helpful. There is a water element so if you are happy to let the kids get wet, take some spare clothes! We watched a show (graham the ghost) and it was brilliant, the chap was engaging and got every child involved the best he could - he even kept the adults entertained - for £1.50 per head, a bargain. A great day out, the gift shop is not over-priced too which helps with young children. In short, we will be adding this to our list of regualr places to visit, especially for those 'when it's raining' days. Also, parking wise - we parked in the red dragon centre, if you spend £6 in the centre, parking is free (validated by any shop in the building).

We travelled from Birmingham to specifically visit Techiquest after finding it on a list of things to do in Cardiff and we were not disappointed! We ended up only spending 3 hours there (it took my boys 2 hours to walk 1.5 miles ) which was a shame because you could definitely spend longer. It was crazy busy with at least 3 different schools there on a trip! The staff were friendly and polite and the exhibits were well maintained. My kids particularly enjoyed the whirlpool generator as one of them is obsessed with whirlpools at the mo!

I'm not sure what I was expecting but the museum is basically one big open ground floor with a mezzanine floor above, for what is a relatively small area there is lots packed in! It costs £6.50 for children with an included donation, if you do not want to pay the donation you need to specify that at point of sale as if you request "4 child tickets" (for example) you'll automatically be charged the donation amount - well, we were! The non-donation amount is £5.90 which tbh I would rather have paid as you're able to add on gift-aid free of charge and taking 4 children anywhere is expensive so small savings quickly add up for us; however I didn't want to look like a Scrooge and ask her to recalculate the amount so paid the higher price!

Would definitely recommend though if you're travelling to Cardiff :)
