A very nice hotel, with easy access from the M4. Be aware of the very small car park which you can get into even when full but you cannot get out without a pass code. The alternative is the NCP at £15 for over 5 hours, expensive for an overnight stop. Internet is not the easiest to connect to, be patient and you will, eventually, get connected. Food is expensive even by London hotel prices. All in all a nice place to stay.

We stayed here last night (April 2014) fabulous. Room was sparkling & had everything we wanted, but the view was specular. Over looking Cardiff Bay, by day beautiful & when the sun went down just as fabulous. A short walk to Cardiff Bay with every dining experience & bar catered for our stay was enhanced by the great weather, none the less the sights & sounds of what Cardiff has to offer will bring us back again & again I am sure.
The staff at the hotel were friendly helpful & welcoming, we made good use of the Spa, although a few cosmetic touches maybe needed to qualify it for 5* the whole stay was just lovely.

Room Tip: I assume all of the rooms look out at the Bay, fabulous view.

This is the second time my friend and I have stayed at this hotel on the edge of the revitalised Cardiff Bay but it won't be the last. Wonderful location, great food and lovely staff and service - what more could you want! There's even fluffy white bath robes and slippers and nice biscuits too

We didn't use the spa this time but we had a great time there last time and did use the leisure facilities. Room service was good too and we loved the fish finger sandwiches - yum!!

We particularly like the balconies overlooking the water: when it's sunny you could be on the Cote d'Azure.

Only possibly improvement would be to have a mini fridge so you can have fresh milk not UHT.

We paid £132 per night for the room inc breakfast - not cheap but absolutely worth it!

Room Tip: The rooms with a balcony overlooking the bay are lovely - great views across Cardiff too and the ico...

Thank you so much for your review and I am delighted you and your friend once again enjoyed your stay with us. The Cote d'Azure is indeed a charming comparison and we very much look forward to welcoming you both back in the near future.

For future reference a mini fridge is available upon request, subject to availability, and we would of course be happy to provide fresh milk.

Kind regards.

Nice hotel with a pay and display car park just opposite (£15 for 24hrs) tell reception you paid £15 and they'll give you a £5 drinks voucher for their bar!

We stayed on the 6th floor! Great view!
The room was big and spacious and big windows! A few stains on the carpet and a little worn furniture but ot too bad.

Balconys are devided by a mesh so you can see other people on their balconys.

Only 5 min walk to the bars and restruants and a little tesco!

Stayed for one night, room only at £87 (double).
Pros:
Size of room; large, comfortable bed; free wifi in room for 30 minutes; spa and pool; plenty of parking - public car-park beside hotel's car park; check-out.
Cons:
Very poor check-in (after almost 6 hours on the road) offering little information about the hotel and nothing more than a robotic welcome; industrial cleaning procedure going on in the foyer when we returned from dinner at one of the restaurants in the Bay at 10pm (remarkable for this type of hotel); didn't find bath robes and slippers in bedroom because they were in a plastic bag in the closet; rubbish on floor of men's changing room in the spa.
Pity, with a little extra effort and rigorous staff training and better day-to-day upkeep of the building, it could be a great hotel.
