“A trip thru time..only 20 minutes away”
Reviewed 28 November 2013

When I asked several locals where I should go if I had only one day to see something different, they all said the same thing. St. Fagans National History Museum. Only a short, easy 20 minute bus trip from Cardiff City Centre.

St Fagans is a trip thru time. Even if you are not THAT interested in history ( I am not, for the record) it is still a beautiful place to spend a day or, at the very least, a pleasant afternoon. The grounds are gorgeous and there is enough history for those who like that sort of thing. I went in the Fall..and I can't wait to go back in the Spring, when all the flowers and trees are in full bloom.

“A very nice spot with lots to see.”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

We have visited St Fagans a few times often with grandkids in tow. The museum is easy to find with good parking. The entrance is very good with staff on hand to help if needed. The museum is laid out as a large village with excellent exhibits taken from around Wales. The relocated buildings are superb and often have staff on hand in contemporary dress who can help with the local history. There are food outlets around the museum but if the weather is nice then take a picnic. There are plenty of spots to enjoy al fresco eating. The "tractor" trains are very popular with the grandkids and grandparents alike. St Fagans has something to offer whatever the season.
