Hotel very clean but our room was above kitchen area so could hear noises and also husband woken by boiler noise so was awake from 6 oclock. Wasnt too keen on blankets on the bed!
Breakfast was ok and staff very efficient. Hotel location was great, near to city and good places to eat. The Cricketer bar just down the road from Hotel served lovely food.
So if you are looking for a very clean hotel this could be the place for you just ask for a quieter room.

Stayed at the Lincoln House Hotel the final weekend of the summer holidays.

Lincoln House Hotel from the outside is two Victoria villas, inside the two buildings have been well and carefully linked. Typical of Victoria residential build are the high ceilings and decorative decor. The owners have done much to retain many of the original features. Parking is available at the rear of the property. The establishment is on the direct bus route into Cardiff, although a flat level walk only took twenty minutes at a stroll.

The room we had, on the ground was well equipped, not required to sit on the bed when relaxing, comfort chairs, always a bonus for us. Slept well the two night we were guests.

Breakfast was well prepared and presented. A self-selection of bowl food and fruit etc is generous with items we did not expect to have available. The main breakfast menu is cooked to order.

We found the staff helpful and friendly.

Lincoln House Hotel has much to commend it and in a strong accommodation market stands out.

Picked this hotel due to the good reviews and the location. We wanted to be near to town but also wanted somewhere with free parking. I took other reviewers advice and requested a room at the back of the hotel so I wouldn't be affected by any road noise, as I am a light sleeper. I didn't hear a thing all night. The location was great, walking distance from town via the park. A lovely walk. If going to Cardiff Bay, I recommend a water bus there and a walk back. We had a lovely meal at Carluccio's in the evening, two courses £9.95. The breakfast was excellent the next day, enjoyed all elements of the breakfast. Loved the addition of welsh cakes. My husband also had hid coffee regularly topped up. The lounge with daily papers was a nice touch. It was also great to have a PC available if you hadnt bought a laptop with you and needed to use the internet.
The only small niggle was the very soft bed, we kept rolling into each other. The pillows were hard too and I had a very stiff neck the next day. Would definitely recommend people to stay here, especially if you a bringing a car and want to get away from a chain hotel experience. Hope to stay again soon!

Enjoyed the stay at this small hotel in residential area near the park and the city centre. The free car park was a bonus. The place was clean and the breakfast good. The staff was ready to help. Would always stay again when in Cardiff.

Just returned from a one night stay at the Lincoln House Hotel Cardiff - Had picked the hotel as it had good reviews on Trip Advisor: we had also considered city centre hotels but wanted on site parking, which was not always available in the centre

We were not disappointed with the Lincoln House - just a 15 minute walk to Cardiff centre - along the river pathway. It was also ideally located next to the Pontcanna Fields camp site where we had family members camping during the Olympics

The hotel is just as described on Trip Advisor, charming, clean and welcoming with good facilities. The breakfast is outstanding and the staff so helpful. We arrrived early and were able to check on arrival, which was a bonus.
We would not hesiate to book this hotel again when we next visit Cardiff- it really is a 'gem'.

Room Tip: had a room to the rear of the hotel which a very quiet

We took advantage of the hotel's Sunday special offer when visiting Cardiff recently and had a very comfortable stay. The hotel is well located, within walking distance of the city centre, and has its own car park for residents.

The staff were very helpful, without being too pushy and came across as being proud to work in this family hotel. If you're looking for a more personalised experience than some of the national chains, then this hotel would be a good place for you. We were also really impressed with the cleanliness of our room and everything at the breakfast table, i.e. linen, cutlery etc etc - very impressive indeed!
