We enjoyed a walk around the bay and a nice meal . There is a good choice of eateries and a venue for most budgets.

There was a lot to look at in a fairly small area. Lots of small cafes and restaurants here too. Very nice.

Cardiff Bay is an historic site and the buildings show that. Some of the old dock buildings are truly beautiful and grand. On the other hand the Welsh assembly Building is a good example of modern architecture. On a summer's day it is fun to take a water taxi to Penarth or stroll along the promenade. Add to this, bustling pubs and restaurants, the Millennium Centre and a scattering of sculptures and you have a very impressive water front.

Pretty in winter sunshine. Abundant choice of restaurants. Senate and pierhead buildings interesting and free. Not many shops. Nice meal in pizza express. Boat trip available.
