Spotless room, it is hard to rate the service as we didn't need any. Rooms really comfy, it could have been a little bit cheper as it was a last min booking. Good central location next to our favourite restaurant.

Not the first time we have stayed here, and can't wait to go back! The hotels location is perfect for shopping, restaurants, bars and walking distance to the castle and museum. The hotel staff very professional, and nothing was to much trouble. The rooms are well equipped and very clean, and although we didn't have the breakfast this time, it was very good. You won't be dissappoint if you stay here!

Room Tip: Probably the back of the hotel would be quieter than the front, although we have stayed in both and...

Free complimentary breakfast was given to us at check in. Good service, clean room, lovely city view and great breakfast buffet. The only thing was that the overnight parking was expensive just for one night considering the cost of the room, hence the minus one point on the rating.

Room Tip: 5th floor would give u a good city view out of the panoramic windows.

Just came back from wknd in Cardiff and first time in Marrioitt .
There was 3 of us so I asked for big room.we paid for an upgrade to suite which was a great choice.
Room was large with all mod cons, and also access to executive lounge which was lovely for an hour or so before you head out.
The location is brilliant and breakfeast was lovely.
The staff are so nice and helpful especially Jay and Richard who made out stay more enjoyable , they are excellent at their job and go the extra mile to help you.
Definetly recommend this and would go back.

I stayed with 14 other ladies in the hotel. We had travelled to Cardiff by train so the location was brilliant for us - a 3/4 minute walk away from Cardiff Central Station. The hotel was extremely clean and well kept. We did use the pool which was a little disappointing - it became very shallow very quickly at one end and tended to catch you out when you scraped your knees. However, our weekend stay was not about the pool and excercise - it did the job after a tiring walk in the town! The breakfast room was very well run - everyone working hard with smiling faces. Again everything was clean and if you asked for anything it was brought to you straight away or replenished in the correct place. The food on offer was very tasty - plenty of options and choice. I must praise the excellent service we had when we dined in the hotel bar on our last night by Matthew! He was fantastic - a very sincere member of staff who went out of his way to please us and look after our every need! Again, I must compliment the food in the bar - absolutely lovely - hot and lots of choice from the different menus. I would definitely stay again!

Room Tip: Pillows were extremely soft so consider changing them at reception if necessary. A room with 2 Queen...

Stayed at this hotel in March as an anniversary treat, booked through booking.com. On arrival we were asked if we wanted to upgrade - no. We were then told that there was no rooms available for us, just one made for disabled access, are we sure we didn't want to upgrade? We were then asked of we wanted to pay for access to the VIP lounge/area, something similar - no. So we were given access for free.
Our room was fine, the only real difference was a wide sliding door into the bathroom. This wouldn't have been an issue usually except we felt that we'd been given the room, close to the lift, as some sort of punishment for not paying to upgrade. We had already paid around £80 for a room, why would we want to pay more? If we'd wanted a suite of some sort we would have paid for one.
It put a real downer on our night, we didn't complain as we didn't want the added stress and hassle.
The room was comfy and clean, the location is brilliant, right in the centre of town
Breakfast was includes in our deal, the hot buffet wasn't up to much but enjoyed the selection of pasties.
Unfortunately I am definitely not planning on going back.

We just stayed at this hotel for a few days for our son's graduation. Could not fault it really. We travelled by train and it's walking distance from the station. Very convenient for the city centre shops and all other places such as St David's Hall and the cinema. Welcoming reception, Clean comfortable room, good breakfast which is not over the top (how much can you eat at breakfast anyway?), free wifi in the bar and lounge but not in the room. Excellent pool and leisure centre included in the price.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floors away from the pedestrianized area if requesting quiet.
