Hotel is ok at the most, rooms all in a seperate block, if you get a ground floor room you have access to a large garden area right outside the door which is great ! rooms are quite small but do the job.
Location wise its a bit out of town, 10 min taxi into town or 45 min walk ! breakfast was ok too, £6.

Generally ok, ive stopped in a lot worse !

A one night stay here because I couldn’t be bothered to look around and this was the first place the GPS came up with in the area and while I had heard of the chain I had never stayed in one before so decided to give it a go.

The property is a basic no frill motel and the closest thing I cam e across to what in the US or Australia would be considered a motel with rooms accessed from an outside corridor. The rooms are small and basic, in the first room the heat didn’t work and in April in Cardiff you need heat, to their credit they did bring a small electric heater but as the room only had 1 electric power point and I needed it for other things I asked to be moved to another room and that was done without any fuss. The room was clean and tidy, a bed, desk, chair, small TV and a private bathroom although the layout of the room is a little strange with 2 doors to open before you actually get into the room, maybe something to do with keeping the cold out, but cuts into the room a bit.

The hotel is located at the end of a small street in an industrial area with nothing within walking distance so a car is a must here. It is about 8km from Cardiff city centre so not really well located for the city centre but good if you have a car as plenty of free parking.

My friend and i booked this hotel, when we went to cardiff to watch the rugby, wales V canada, and after reading some of the reviews were a little worried about staying here!!
There is no need to worry at all, the hotel is fab!! Clean, comfortable and friendly.
The staff MAREK, EMMA & ERIC were exceptionally great.
Yes it is in the middle of an industrial estate, but it's close enough to the city centre, (beware of the cab drivers over charging though £17.50 to get in to city yet only £8.65 to get back hmmmmmmmm)! and it is very well signposted off the M4 with Waitrose just round the corner!!!

All in all a very good hotel for the money £43 per night for the both of us! And we will definately use this hotel again!!
Thanks to all the staff, cu soon!!

Stayed for 3 nights on a special offer whereby you only pay for 2 nights in August 2008.

The hotel is at the end of a small industrial estate. There is free carparking although the car park is situated on a slope.

The bedrooms are located in a separate building across the car park from the reception building which also contains the bar/restaurant. At first sight this separate building looks as though it could do with a little bit of paint.

The bedrooms however are very clean, look to have been recently refurbished and contain everything you would expect in a budget hotel. Likewise the bathroom was clean (no mould to be seen) and there was plenty of hot water in the shower.

Breakfast costs £6.95 but is substantial as you help yourself to cereals, toast, juice and tea & coffee.

There is some road noise from the A48 situated close by but it is not too instrusive.

The hotel is well located for Cardiff and most of surrounding area. On the deal we had I would rate at good value.

I am writing this now at 3.05am while my husband is finding other hotel to stay! He arrived at the hotel just now (2am) and no one was at the front desk. He tried to knock and call the hotel for more than half an hour. He booked the hotel via Hotel.com and it stated that "24 hours front desk", are we missing something here?

Worst experince ever........

This was the only not too expensive hotel accomodation I could find at short notice. Like others I was concerned about the reviews I had read but I couldnt have been more suprised.
Helpful staff allowed us to check in early and the room was clean. Comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep.
Breakfast was good value - and the bar reasonably priced - okay they did stop serving at 11pm but there are plenty of notices telling you that.
