Having stayed in cardiff a few times we thought we would try The Royal. We weren't disappointed! Very friendly staff from the outset. Don't know why people say they get confused with the lifts. . . 2 separate lifts, one to reception and one to the rooms! Lovely decor and clean communal areas. Room was a little dusty but only if you looked for it. Comfy bed. Huge pillows! Good size tv. Internet access. Bathroom was nice. Hot water and great shower, also had a bath. Great use of space with a big full length mirror in the wardrobe. Iron and ironing board and safe too. Even do luggage storage which is great as we were travelling by train and didn't want to lug our cases around. We didn't hear any noise from outside, although it was a Sunday night. Would stay here again :)
