We stayed here for the ed Sheeran concert in the cinema room and it was perfect! The stadium is so close to the hotel! The cinema room had no windows (but air con) and that was perfect for a busy Friday night after a concert on a main street in cardiff, didn't hear any street noise at all! The room looked amazing and even little treats such as popcorn, can't wait to stay again :)

We stayed at The Royal Hotel when going to see Ed Sheeran at the Principality Stadium. The hotel couldn’t be in a better location, literally 10 mins walk to the stadium gates and right on the street with tonnes of restaurants and cafes.

The hotel staff are very friendly, our room was small but very clean and with a great bathroom. The hotel even left us a welcome gift of an Ed Sheeran mug which was a lovely touch!

The most surprisingly thing was how quiet this hotel is given its location, we were facing the main street and only on level 3 but it was very quiet at night!

We will definitely be returning to Cardiff and we would definitely stay at The Royal Hotel again!

The title says it all. Very clean, quiet, and friendly helpful staff. Very close to restaurants, Cardiff Castle and the train station. The price we paid was very reasonable and firm beds for a good night sleep, what more could you ask for

had a lovely one nights stay before stones concert. room was great, very spacious. well worth the money. had complimentary bottle of wine. staff were very friendly and welcoming. had great view of the city. the hotel is within walking distance of train station and central to shops and restaurants. stayed bed and breakfast which was good, plenty of choices. we stayed in executive room which was spacious and spotless. bathroom was roomy with enough toiletries provided. also had small refrigerator in room.

The cinema rooms aren't worth the money we paid(know was going be high because of concert). It was hot and sticky as it has no windows.

Lovely hotel but let down by the amount of mould in the bathroom, it appears that these where done on the cheap. Toiletries great, cheap sweets a good adage but would have liked more than 1packet for whole weekend.
The food was OK, but I breakfast not great.
Shame we were woken by fire alarm but no member of staff came to check who had left their rooms or any reassurance. Someone on desk as we returned and another mending wires. They did give us a later check out.
