This place was fab for a morning fry up! However sadly is has now closed down, yet I have been told there is a similar cafe now in it's place.

I lived near Crwys Road for over a year and if I had been out on the Saturday night 9 times out of 10 I would be in Cafe Calcio the next morning because their 'Fat b*****d' breakfast is incredibly good value and the saviour of many of my weekends!

After a fruitless search, it seems that Cafe Calcio had closed down! However, in its place is the Gutsy Goose, which is lovely.

I have been here many ones, the food is excellent quality and I think it's good value. Staff are also a little grumpy when I have visited but doesn't stop me going back. Friendlier staff would make this place 5 star

Re the review about it being closed at peak times, the sign's come off and they've shut their doors sadly - real shame, best place in cardiff for breakfast
