Popped in for a quick lunch whilst exploring the Bay area after visiting Cardiff University for an Open Day. The restaurant is upstairs and offers commanding views of the iconic Cardiff assembly buildings as well as Cardiff Bay itself. To be honest, we were half-hoping to bump into somebody from Doctor Who which is filmed locally, and although there was a table of people from the BBC Cymru studios, we didn't recognise anybody!
Service was excellent - we were shown immediately to a table right next to the huge window with a great view, and our drinks order was swiftly taken. If you like fruit juices, be sure and try the (slightly strange but delicious) concoctions on offer - I went for the Twisted Apple. Anybody who has been to Wagamama's before will be familiar with the food choice - I went for Yaki Udon as normal. Unlike the typical Wagamama experience, all the food was brought at the same time (they deliver as soon as each dish is cooked), and very quickly, too.
The meal was delicious as you'd expect from the chain, with everything beautifully cooked from fresh ingredients.
In summary, recommended amongst the large number of restaurants in the area, especially if you are in a hurry - you know exactly what you are going to get: excellent food and great service.
