We stayed here over the weekend of the 6 nations Ireland and Wales match, and the result of that match was the only fault during our stay. :)

The staff here are just fantastic. They really go the extra mile. Thanks especially to the girls on reception that weekend. They have clearly been well trained and made us feel so welcome straight away. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. We were checking out on a Monday and called reception looking for some Orange Juice and toast to help cure the hangover before we started packing. The receptionist explained that there is no room service for breakfast, but since it was quiet at that particular time, she went and got us toast and OJ herself and dropped it up to us! It was unnecessary and she did not have to do that, but it was so appreciated!!!!

We dined in the restaurant in the Hotel the first night, and the food was gorgeous! We were just expecting some pub grub, nothing special, but instead enjoyed a three course meal, on their 'meal deal' with a gorgeous bottle of wine, and perfect attentive service. Really impressed.

The bus to the City Centre is 30 seconds walk, and a taxi back that night was only 12pounds! This will definitely be our retreat for all future visits to Cardiff and I would recommend it to everyone!

It's in the middle of a drab trading estate a couple or so miles outside the city centre, but there are plenty of buses or it's an £8 taxi ride.

On the plus side, my room was bigger than in other Premier Inns and was spotless and very quiet. It's a shame that it doesn't have a bar though, for people returning from a night out. There also seemed to be a good-sized car park if you're driving. I am returning to Cardiff in a couple of months and would happily stay there again.

This is my third stay at this particular Premier Inn and once again I was not disappointed. This time I left my husband at home and came for a shopping trip with my daughter.

We used the excellent bus service, my daughter commenting that she wishes we had a similiar service in Weymouth as we only had to wait a couple of minutes Friday evening when we caught the bus into town and again on Saturday morning when we went off shopping.

On this trip we decided to have breakfast, great value when children 15 yrs and under eat for free, combined with the £29.00 per night deal. The breakfast was very good and I was really impressed that it was cooked to order, and the waitress asked how many sausages, bacon etc we would like. There was of course the usual array of cereals, fruit, fruit juices and yogurts and facilities to make toast. The staff in the David Lloyd Centre were extremely friendly as the staff on Reception in the Premier Inn.

I hadn't realised the sports centre has a pool but we will certainly bear that in mind for future visits. So thanks once again for a great stay and hope to be back again.
