First time staying at a Premier Inn and it will not be my last. Reasonably priced and not too far out of Cardiff. Reception staff very helpful even gave me a mobile phone charger as I had left mine at home ! Along with my husband. Room was spotless.

Stayed here for one night. Hotel wasn't that hard to find. Check in staff were fab, gave us all the information we needed regarding dinner & breakfast.
Room was of a good standard, very spacious & clean. Lifts take a while, but the hotel is small enough to walk. One thing that I didn't like was a funny smell in the corridors, which wasn't nice! Had breakfast in the David Lloyd cafe area. A bit of a wander through tennis courts etc to get there but that was fine & the choice they had to offer was lovely! Cooked breakfast made to order which isn't what usually happens in premier inn. If they had more information about the David Lloyd gym etc before hand would of enjoyed spending the day there as well!

Would definatly recommend

The best nights sleep in ages! We arrived early but were able to get the room almost straight away. The room was very well furnished with a large widescreen tv and the bed was amazing. Highly recommended.

was hard to locate as lots of road works in locality which was not hotels fault. but nice and clean ,quiet. staff friendly and informatve. the restaurant though too health concious for my taste, it was a david loyd, but the service and food itself was very good and of a high standard.

stayed for 2 nights Sept 2013.
Good points -
- location - although on trading / industrial estate it's actually ok, not too noisy at night, close to shops / food outlets,
- staff friendly and helpful, I checked in advance and they let us take our (clean) pushbikes into our room
- room clean,
- choice of firm or soft pillow,
- bit of noise from car park but nothing out of the ordinary.

Less good
- as others have commented the building was very warm - 21C in our room, with the window open. A fan was provided but that doesn't actually make it cooler, just moves the air around.
- bed was very firm - it's a matter of personal preference but I would not be able to sleep on it - I now always take a topper with me!!
- Breakfast not as good as some - cereals all the sugary type - no Weetabix / Shredded Wheat type, no red fruits, cooked breakfast was to order but bacon looked and tasted like it had been keeping warm and tomato was hard and just warm, not cooked. Sausages and mushrooms were fine and egg was just right.

And if you don't fancy the evening menu, there are lots of fast food type places nearby, but Sainsbury's (well within walking distance) has a cafe which serves freshly cooked hot food till 7pm (though they do run out of some things as time goes on) and is excellent value.

Room Tip: We had room 16 - at the opposite end from reception and facing the car park - fairly quiet

This hotel was difficult to find and very badly signposted which was not a good start. From the outside it is an incredibly ugly building at the far edge of an industrial/trading estate. There was plenty of parking despite the hotel being busy. The staff were very friendly, approachable and helpful. Our rooms were large, immaculate and very comfortable with flat-screen tvs and tea making facilities. The en suite bathrooms were also spotless with endless hot water and plenty of nice quality towels. The beds (with there selection of pillow types) were very comfortable. The only downside of our stay was the poor mobile phone reception. The location, while not picturesque, was close to restaurants and shops and just a few minutes drive from Cardiff city centre. Overall I was impressed with the size and standard of our rooms.

1-5thsept'13. Really pleasant stay, comfortable rooms, greeted and looked after by lovely staff. Very concsious of lone female s, treat you really really well.Huge free car parking. Sited in the middle of an industrial estate, based at the side of the David Lloyd centre. Food was provided at the gym, but not ideal. Not to far from supermarkets/ restaurants though. Have already booked for next week. I personally felt this a better option for me than the Prem inn in the centre. One thing i prefer is plenty of parking, I don't travel light, and I like to keep an eye on my car. Security very good, swipe access, rooms on two floors, it has a lift, again handy if you don't travel light. You do have access to the gym facilities if you fancy a bit if exercise.
