I gave a presentation here and it was a very good venue. The staff were friendly and helpful. The coffee was good. The room worked well.

Cardiff's City Hall is one beautiful civic structure and free to visitors. On the second floor the marble columns and statues are astounding. From Boudicia of Roman/British fame, to a lovely portrait of Princess Diana, this structure with state chambers (used only once per year) is a treasure!

City Hall was a great venue for the dinner at the end of an international conference I helped organise in August 2016. We had the stunning Marble Hall for reception drinks and the beautiful Assembly Room for the banquet. The spacious stage was just right for the speeches and hosting the ceilidgh band we hired. The food was great and the service outstanding. Staff were helpful at all times and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely.

City hall is in Cathays park and is surrounded by the Law Courts, the National Museum with the various buildings of the Cardiff University. The City Hall along with other buildings were designed in the late Victorian period and built in the Edwardian era faced with Portland Stone with all the opulence and grandeur to be expected in what at the time was one of the richest cities in the British Isles. Falcons now nest in the copula on the clock tower.

A beautiful building which celebrates Cardiff's past.
Spacious rooms.
Good acoustics.
Plenty of break out space which works well for delegates and presenters alike.
