Only paid £58 for two nights with a family of 4. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were all so friendly at Reception, the bar and Restaurant. I would definitely stay again. Very good location for Dr. Who experience, Techniquest and Cardiff bay if you stay with children.

Had an over night stop here with my husband on Friday Jan 17th. We arrived tired from shopping and were greeted with a friendly smile and excellent service at reception. We dumped out luggage in our room, which was perfectly fine, and then went down for a relaxing drink in the bar. Unfortunately this was when things started to fall apart. My husband went to the bar but waited over 15 minutes before he was finally served - not because they were so very busy but because the bar staff were chatting to other customers who appeared to be friends of theirs. We know there were problems with the power supply that evening but since we only wanted 2 glasses of wine that should not have been a problem in serving us. The bar staff did occasionally turn to my husband to tell him they'd be with him soon, but then continued chatting to their friends.

This isn't the sort of service we're used to from Premier Inns staff and we were somewhat amazed.

We were visiting relatives in the area so we chose this hotel based purely on location.
From the moment we arrived to when we left we were greeted with courtesy and friendliness. The buffet breakfast was superb and the waiting staff went out if their way to ensure we were happy.
The room was basic but spotlessly clean.
We'll certainly return when we are next in Cardiff.

Convenient, clean , quiet and excellent customer service
The hotel doesn't look anything special from the outside and next to a busy road but there are excellent car parking facilities and once inside the hotel you wouldn't know you were near such a busy road

Me and my boyfriend booked a room in this hotel with our little girl, staff was very friendly and the hotel was also very clean . The only thing I have to complain about is the noise comming from the bunch of girls & lads staying on our floor the noise went on till early hours in the morning from shouting to banging around. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay and will be comming back again

A two evening stop over during our Christmas, family visiting, travels and this hotel took care of all our requirements. Firstly a good rate coming in at well under £100 for the two nights. Secondly this building seems to have been built prior to Premier Inn taking it over therefore, whilst a deal older than many of the sister establishments it is a little more spacious - especially the bar and dining area which were very inviting.

I would concur with previous reviews that the staff are really good. We didn't need much from them other than check-in, breakfast and trips to the bar, but every time they were unfailing helpful and courteous.

Our room was a good size and adequately accomodated two adults and a teenager. Fixtures and fittings are of standard Premier Inn quality which, if you've stayed in one before, you know what comes with that - nothing luxurious but still perfectly fine. The building is, however, of a vintage which I would say takes a lot of maintenance (acres of flat roof which must be a challenge to weather-proof)

The car park is steeply banked so anyone with mobility issues needs to ensure they can get a parking space near the entrance.

All in all a good experience which Premier Inn rarely fail to deliver.
