A beautiful area of Cardiff and somewhere quiet to go to rest the visitor on his/her frantic sight seeing! The white buildings were erected on land given by the 3rd Marquis of Bute (I think it was the 3rd) on condition that only public buildings were to be erected. In the centre is a lovely park with a number of war memorials to see and a beautiful, quiet, setting for a picnic in the summer. It is where you will find the National Museum and Art Gallery and City Hall. Take time to wander.
