Myself , my daughter and her friend stayed here primarily to visit the Dr. Who Experience in Cardiff. Peter, the host, could not have been more welcoming. We were given a beautiful spotless room with a double and 2 single beds, spotless well fitted bathroom, complete with complementary toiletries. A nice selection of teabags, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. It was also nice to see a teapot, rather than just putting teabags in the mug. There is a nice outside seating area too. Breakfast was a lovely affair, cereals, fresh fruit, full English, toast etc.....whilst looking out of the window at the woodpeckers etc., on the many bird feeders. Peter was very helpful as regards local restaurants, parking in Cardiff etc.

My daughter left her Dr. Who poster behind and Peter very kindly posted it to us immediately.

I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough and hope to return next year.

My wife and I were married on March 1st and had our reception just up the road from Clawdd Coch so this guest house seemed like an ideal venue for us to spend our wedding night and for other family travelling from afar to stay. We were not disappointed. We booked out the entire guesthouse for various family and Peter the owner was more than accommodating as regards to the rather random times we were arriving at. The rooms were all of a good size all with en suite and tea and coffee making facilities, there was even a hair dryer supplied with our room. The most impressive part of our stay however was the breakfast supplied the following morning. The choice of full English, or variants there of, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, tea, coffee, juice.... (you get the idea) was absolutely amazing, all served by Peter himself with a smile. The guest house also has a resident lounge to relax in and unwind, which was a plus for us as we could sit together after breakfast and chat with our families about the wonderful day that we had had. Nothing was too much trouble for Peter and I would recommend this guest house to anyone wanting to stay in the area. Full marks!

After a long 4 hour drive on a dark, snowy and cold November evening, we were welcomed at the door by Peter the friendly host. Our room was lovely and warm with a double, two single beds and roomy en suite. The kettle with a choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate with a jug of fresh milk and a selection of biscuits was a nice touch. We were attending a function at the very large and overpriced Vale Hotel next door. It's a bit far to walk to the Vale in the winter, but it's only a few minutes away by car. Should we have had any doubts about staying here, the fantastic breakfast in the morning whilst enjoying the breathtaking views convinced us further that we'd made a good choice.

Met at the door by Peter Roe, he gave such a warm welcoming handshake.
The room was very large idea for a family of four with a beautiful onsuite.
Tea Coffee & a jug of fresh milk & biscuits were provided along with tissues, soap & cotton wool. Beds were comfortable & clean. No traffic noise or pedestrians walked past & the bedroom windows were left open all night.
A freshly cooked Welsh breakfast which consisted of fresh orange juice, as much toast as you needed, Sausages thick bacon, black pudding, mushrooms, eggs one or two, & tomatoes.
A lovely country place to stay really enjoyed it & would return.
