“Great Cafe”
Reviewed 8 April 2014

Not only is Wallys a top delicatessens but also home to the (semi) famous Kaffeehaus.

Serves up a great selection of food with some fantastic sandwiches/bagels. Some of them are absolute beasts with more meat/cheese in them than a normal person could handle.

Always a great place for a break from the city centre chaos.

“When it comes to high quality deli food, Wally's is no wally!!”
Reviewed 5 April 2014 via mobile

Eat here regularly and have the same dish every time - delicious Rhobach open sandwich. Tasty rye bread smothered in apricot and ginger chutney, topped with dressed leaves, sun blushed tomatoes, walnuts, pear slices and amazing Per Las cheese. Displayed on a balsamic glaze with home-made potato salad. £7 ish and worth every penny. Pot of tea and iced German ginger biscuits. Lunch for £10. Plenty of newspapers. SUPER SERVICE!! It gets very busy but be patient, it's definitely worth the wait.

“Lovely little find perfect for a light bite or a filling lunch”
Reviewed 12 February 2014

After only recently being introduced to Wally's I have become somewhat of a regular. I have only ordered two things off the menu as I love both of them and can never bring myself to try something other than these two delicious items. The Tyrol open sandwich is fantastic and the meet and cheese platter really is fantastic.

The order for one person is extremely filling and a large platter a must try for the foodies out there. The service from the staff is always extremely pleasant and helpful and make the place very welcoming and warm. The cafe is situated above their delicatessen which is superb. It has a fantastic selection of meats, cheeses and their olives are to die for. Definitely worth a visit.

“Lovely independent Deli Cafe away from the maddening crowd”
Reviewed 3 January 2014

This is a lovely little upstairs cafe in Wallys Deli serving authentic Austrian food, which gives a welcome escape from the run-of-the-mill chain-cafes in the nearby St. David's Centre.

We went for lunch and shared a meat & chese platter - No3. Wurst & Kase Aufschnitte - whch was plenty for two and will definitely keepy you going for the afternoon. My partner had a cappuccino that he reported was very nice and my breakfast tea was lovely and light - the small teapot is actually quite large, you can get at least 4 cups out of it!

We had table by the windos overlooking the Royal Arcade - if you can get one of these tables I would recommend it as it is very good for people-watching.

Service on the day was a little slow - though the cafe was very busy -we arrived just before the rush and could see a large queue forming as we sat down; this may have been because it was still the 'holiday' period though just after Christmas. The waitress was though very friendly.

Accessibility - Please note the cafe is up a flight of stairs, about 20 steps, with no lift, and so there is no wheelchair access, which is a shame I think.

The groundfloor deli is definitely worth a browse - a vast range of exciting foods, with an huge cheese counter and an olive bar.

Summary; forget Cafe Rouge & Bella Italia; on your next trip into town, try this place out. I have marked it poor for 'romance' as it's more of a lunchtime casual-meet place than somewhere to woo your beloved.

“wonderful cafe and deli”
Reviewed 27 December 2013

If you are looking for somewhere that sells delicious food, great coffee and indulgent cake, forget the chain coffee shops and come to Wally's. The service is excellent and the great deli downstairs is well worth a visit, showing off some great local produce.
