Excellent theatre with good and comfortable seating, even for an outsize chap like me! Cafe is limited, but convenient and pleasant. If you manage to catch someone giving a piano recital or solo in the foyer area, then all the better!

At weekends, there are free concerts in the foyer. The venue boasts one of the largest stages anywhere. It's worth seeing the main auditorium just for the layout (and do see the Royal College of Music & Drama on the other side of Cardiff if you are able - Cardiff's newest music venue, with the newly-completed conservatoire)...

Difficult to know what to say. The building is marmite architecture - and I am one of the 'love it' party. One of those places its difficult to miss anywhere in Cardiff Bay - and (of course) whilst you are there, take in the Senedd (Assembly building on the waterfront) and the new BBC media city in nearby Roath Basin - then walk to the barrage (and if you time it right, get the land train back)
